Rowin 8 Isolated 9V DC Outputs Mini Power Supply for Guitar Effects Pedal

This is a great power supply for a small pedalboard. I use a Voodoo Labs power supply on my larger pedal board, but I use this on my small pedal board that is populated with mini size pedals. I use it when the larger board doesn't make sense like rehearsals and small gigs. I wanted something that was a step above a daisy chained single supply. This has 8 outputs that are isolated in the sense that they protect each pedal when a pedal has an issue, but since it shares grounds, it is not isolated like a supply with a more costly built in transformer. That's ok since most of the mini pedals are analog and they all work together well. Some digital pedals can't tolerate sharing grounds and this leads to hum. If you are using a single daisy changed supply and want to clean up your board, then this is a great choice. It really isn't the fault of the supply of a pedal introduces hum, it is the design of the pedal. The other nice thing is that you aren't limited to 100ma at each output as long as you don't exceed the overall output of the included wall wart. This is something the higher end supplies don't do. At any rate since this supply is the size of a mini pedal it fits any pedalboard, especially mini ones, and does the job well.

I had 5 pedals that need 9V power. Using 3 supplies, no matter how I hooked them up, I had this horrendous high-pitched squeal in the background. I decided to give this Rowin supply a shot, and it has worked flawlessly - no noise at all. I checked the 9V+ with a DMM, and they were isolated. I've not opened it up to see the actual circuitry; it wasn't necessary. It just worked. At 300mA per output (2A total limit), it's enough for almost all regular pedals. Cheap, quiet, and it worked for me.

The Rowin Mini Power power supply is a compact isolated power supply for your pedalboard. It supports eight 9v ports, each with a maximum current rating of 300mA, and a total current draw capability of 2A. This is enough power for all but the most hungry of pedals. It comes with a 12V DC adapter to power the system, 8 power cables for connecting your pedals to the Mini Power, and 2 polarity switching cables (useful for fuzz boxes and other center positive effects). The unit is very well built using the same form factor as many mini effect pedals. There is a red LED to show that the 12V DC in is working, and there are 8 blue LEDs, for each of the 8 ports. Unfortunately, as you can see in my photo, all 8 of those LEDs lit up even though I was using only 7 ports to power my 7 pedals, making them rather useless. I would prefer that they only came on when a pedal is attached to the associated port. One other suggestion for the future - maybe the polarity reversing cables should be marked in some manner to alert the user of the purpose. But other than these small points, this is a great power supply, and I plan to use it to power my son's board when we get to building it in the fall.Great job Rowin - keep the great products coming.Highly recommended.

So far-so good. No unwanted noise. I bought this mini power supply as a backup/ secondary for my small board. I also have the Mooer micro power and can say that this is pretty much the EXACT same thing, but half the price, AND packaged way nicer. Hope it stays silent and keeps working. Didn't give it all 5 stars because the lED lights are WAY too bright and hurt to look at. I had to cover them with the rubber from under the power supply once I removed it to put Velcro on the unit. Lol worked out well.

I bought this to avoid buying an expensive pedalboard power supply and I am not disappointed.It comes packaged in a surprisingly classy box.It doesn't take up a lot of room, can power 8 pedals (have tested this), and provides clean power as far as I can tell. There is no hum and my pedals sound much cleaner than when I daisy-chain them with a one spot power supply. It feels flimsy but not like it will fall apartTwo things to note: 1) The LED lights are EXTREMELY bright and theres 9 of them. You'll probably need to cover them with tape. I put mine under my pedalboard and it creates a very cool lighting effect. 2) It comes with a foam pad taped to the bottom, I had to tear this off in order to attach velcro.

Despite what other reviews said, I personally had a bad hum with this power supply, mine could have been defective. I think the 30-50 dollar range of "isolated" power supplies are just not going to do what is needed for multiple pedal setups.

Worked well for a while and liked the size. Died after a couple months of moderate use though. Stopped working at an acoustic gig and left me hanging with no pedalboard. Tried several different cords and plugs to no avail. Disappointing...Edit: 3/15/18After posting my review I was emailed by the company offering me the replacement at no charge. I appreciate a company that stands behind their product and is proactive in customer service. It makes all the difference.

Para El tamaño funciona bastante bien e incluye todo lo necesario para empezar a usar tus pedales, eliminador o cargador y 8 "Daisy chain" para alimentar los pedales, lo cale con un vox wah 845, una distorsión y un noise gate , y funciona bastante bien , no tengo suficientes pedales para probar con 8 pero estoy satisfecho con la compra

On the face of it, this should have done everything I want it to do. It's cheap, it's very well presented in a lovely box, item feels reasonably well made, 8x 9v outputs, small, light, take up minimal space on a pedalboard. However when I set up for the first time, there was ground hum, this only got louder the longer it was in use. Not good when it's supposed to be isolated. Considering I've used power supply blocks in the past, I was very disappointed with this one.

La utilizo unicamente para alimentar 4 pedales de modulaciones. Los alimenta sin problemas y no mete ruido. Para el resto de los pedales uso otra fuente de otra marca. Ha funcionado bien de esa manera.

Llego en excelente estado, no metió nada ruido lo seguiré probando, cumple con el precio/calidad, deberían darle la oportunidad.Y por fin consegui una fuente ya que en las tiendas de música te las dan a casi al doble de su precio.Solo un detalle el instructivo esta un poco sucio es el único detalle

Conecte 5 pedales y se apagó, su material es algo chafa y si te sirve muy bien si metes solo 4 pedales de 9V
