I never thought about the size. They fit into the fitting with no problem, but I cannot get the shade on over the top of them. They are much larger than the original halogens. The opening for our shades quite small and while there was no trouble with the halogens it simply does not slipover these. I had to resolve to putting the bulbs inside the shade with the connections sticking out and trying to fit into the fitting. It gave the audience a laugh to watch and listen to me struggle! They are in and they are working. I have left one halogen in as suggested and have had no problem with flickering so far.

I ordered these LED G4 bulbs to replace those in our Lamona cooker hood. Dimensions are given in the details for these bulbs on the Amazon site but physically comparing them makes you think they won't fit. Fortunately they did - just.After purchase I received a message from the seller advising that in some circumstances these bulbs may flicker or buzz due to compatibility issues with transformers - they draw so little current that the original transformers are not suitable and in those cases you need to change the transfomer to a 'LED transformer' of suitable rating. Fortunately in my case this was not necessary - they worked without a problem.

As advertised. No flicker on 12Vac single bulb use.

I was dubious about replacing our halogens with LEDs, but….. these are fabulous. Nice warm light, and no noticeable difference in brightness. I really recommend these!

2 of the 6 have already failed, in less than 2 months!! Seemingly then, they look to be poor quality!! :0/

Extremely pleased with this purchase. I changed my 20w halogen bulbs in my cooker hood to just a few watts. I checked with the supplier of my cooker hood that this equivalent LED would be compatible as I had to be certain they were 12v or 240v, in my case 12v supply. The manufacturer informed me that they were ok to use as long as they would physically fit in place as LED bulbs tend to be bigger in length and/or diameter. I would have purchased from the cooker hood manufacturer but they did not supply LED bulbs which surprised me based on the presant energy market. The bulbs are super bright using less power. I would recommend and I would also insist if in doubt consult a qualified person such as an electrician/manufacturer as you may infringe your warranty and it requires confirmation the wiring is compatible.

The light output is really good, just like the halogens that they replaced. However, I should have read the description properly as these flickered and died when I replaced all 6 lamps. I had to keep 1 halogen lamp in the fitting but I plan to replace the transformer with one intended for LEDs.
