Wasteful and expensive!
Just get a Poweradd Slim 2 5000mAh Power Bank for a buck more. Devices like these are just wasteful for the environment. I have seen a similar device taken apart on YouTube and it contained a LiPo battery, a rechargeable battery but the device never had any charging circuitry built in. Now while I don't know that this device in particular is made the same way but the marketing seems to support my opinion and also they do not declare anywhere about what type of battery is supposed to be within this device. Also the marketing on Power Banks from the product images is horribly biased. Depending on the power bank that you buy they can be as small as the Poweradd product, which is similar to a lipstick container or as big as your phone with sizes inbetween. Most power banks come with 50% battery charge included and it doesn't take long to charge the rest of the battery with your phone charger. Power banks do not discharge themselves after a few days either. Like any other laptop battery they need to be topped off every 2-4 times a year to ensure the lithium battery is at a good health and they last at least 3 years before seeing any major decline in charging capacity under normal use. The Poweradd Slim 2 I mentioned is 6.6 times the battery size. For many phones this means at least 2 full phone charges before the power bank runs out and WHEN you run out you can, *gasp*, recharge it at least 500 times(industry standard for lithium). What am amazing idea! Also this power bank can fast charge up to 2.1A@5V, meaning that charge you need in an emergency will be stored in the phone WHEN you need it, not later on airplane mode.
