Although the bottle supposedly holds 27 ounces, you can only put in 21 ounces if you follow the manufacturer's instructions of filling the bottle to the point that the bottle plus the water weigh 2.2 pounds (which is 2 pounds, 3.2 ounces). If you put in more than 23 ounces of water, it will overflow when you charge the water with the Sodastream. In spite of this quantity limitation, it is a wonderful product that keeps the water cold, is much more durable than the plastic bottles that came with my Sodastream, and these can be washed in hot water (which Sodastream does not recommend for their plastic bottles). I recommend this product and bought 2 of them.

The bottle is great! It fits the Terra Soda Stream machine perfectly, no problems and the seltzer tastes great! I bought 2 of these and both work very well. I am having none of the issues others reported. It is not easy to estimate the volume of water inside since the bottle is stainless steel and the fill line is on the outside. To overcome this I use a glass bottle filled to a certain point to refill this bottle. If I put my finger on the line on the outsied and look into the bottle and see the water level, I can see its about at the line. I err on the side of just under to avoid trouble. Those that reported seltzer spraying out of the bottle when spritzing might have overfilled the bottle. I aim for at or just below the line and have had no trouble. I overspritz it and then add more cold water so that I get more seltzer per refill. Other reviews said the seltzer tasted funny and I thought maybe it did. So I had a friend help me do a "blind taste test" with seltzer made in another Soda stream but in a glass bottle. We could not tell them apart. It tastes great!

Just in case you watched the product video that repeatedly stated this product is "Made in the USA," that is untrue. The box very clearly states "Developed in Germany. Made in China." I don't understand the reason for this fraud; the product is fine and works as it should without needing to lie about its origin.The bottle does work with my SodaStream. The seal is not QUITE perfect, and I have to inject CO2 in shorter bursts to prevent leakage rather than pressing down in one long blast, but other than that no issues so far.The water level can be a little weird to gauge; there is a fill line on the bottle, but as it's opaque, the amount inside can be tricky to eyeball. Just do your best, I guess, and don't overfill the bottle. This certainly hasn't really presented me with enough trouble that I'd call it a deal-breaker.I did see a review that stated the bottle is not insulated. The bottle I received absolutely is vacuum insulated, and the outside temperature of the bottle does not change as cold water is poured in. When capped, it does keep my water cold (and carbonated) for a good, long while.

I am very happy with this stainless steel bottle for my Sodastream Fizzy. It fits and works perfectly so far - I've had it for one week. I bought it specifically to reduce the impact of plastics in my life (especially in light of the recent studies of microplastics in bottles of water).Pros:Fits and works perfectlyLooks niceInsulated and keeps my drink cold for longerConsBecause you cannot see through it you cannot tell exactly where the water level is when filling it up - they put a mark on the outside of the bottle but this doesn't really help. They suggest that you weigh the bottle as filling it up on a kitchen scale until bottle and water is 1000g combined.I'm not really concerned about the "con" of trying to fill it to the exactly correct level. I can pretty guess close enough and it hasn't caused me any distress.

The material being steel is correct for safety in loading the Soda Stream, however you cannot see the fill limit line. They should have made the fill line section of the bottle translucent perhaps glass so you don't overload the bottle with liquid which puts pressure on the soda stream machine.

This rocks. I was soooooo tired of plastic soda stream bottles - they are gross, got messed up in the dishwasher, and impacted the flavor of the water. THIS is game changing. My water tastes fresher, cleaner, colder, and brighter. It works with my Terra sodastream, but there IS a learning curve. Because you can't see through, it's easy to overfill it, which causes the sodastream to bubble over when filling. If you just press the button for less time or fill the bottle up less, this is avoidable. LOVE IT! Would buy another one.

I did not want the plastic bottle for my soda streamer any longer. Who needs nanoparticles of plastic in their water???. So, I ordered the smaller version offered of this stainless steel. IT WORKS BETTER than the plastic soda streamer which is in the recycle bin. Great fizz - 100% happy. Make sure you read the small card. I didn't see it right away until I was discarding the box. Before I read it, I was winging the amount of water to add, but the card states 900 grams of water. I have a scale so it worked perfectly. I do add the water to another container for drinking. I'm only using the bottle for the soda streamer. Great buy!

The media could not be loaded. This is a great bottle when you are looking to make the switch from plastic to metal. While the bottle is not made from plastic like other bottles and it is easy to transport (I find it stays cooler longer), it is not ideal to quickly fill and make seltzer like it's plastic counter parts. I find it easiest to weigh it on the food scale until it gets to about 1000 grams to ensure it doesn't overflow. It does work and creates the seltzer, but can be frustrating and time consuming I have to measure water rather than look for a line.
