Similar to my homemade 5 gallon bucket feeder however unlike my bucket this has the cone top that keeps the hens off and the internal feeders requires them to reach in and eat which has reduced wastage and kept the feed clean.

I use these for grit and oyster shells. It would work well to feed a couple of chickens but a bit small if you have more. It doesn’t take up a lot of space and keeps the contents dry. Perfect size for what I use them for.

Looking at the picture before buying I thought this was going to be perfect. After I assembled it, I thought it was going to be perfect. But when I put it in the coop, I noticed the port to access food(or oyster shell in my case) was small, and my chickens don't particularly want to stick there head in there to get it out. I am hoping they get used to it but it is certainly a smaller than it could be to give them a little more room to stick their heads in to get whatever you have in there. I may have to modify it if they don't get used to it but it was the cheapest option and its just for grit and oyster shell.

I use this to feed my quail. There is very little mess and very little waste.

I do like the fact that less feed is wasted but when the amount is depleted the chickens can't reach the food unless I remove the lid and shift it around. Container could be larger.

I have three chicks I'm raising, they are about a couple weeks in. I started with small feeder from local store. The problem with that feeder is chicken poop would get inside the holes, and they wouldn't be able to eat at same time.This one works great, they can all eat at same time, you can see em in photo, and keeps the food clean because they pop their head in to get the feed. The pyramid top stops them from roosting, so keeps the overall bucket clean. Happy with purchase, just bought the water feeder from same seller that I will hook up later.

Well built as expected from Rent-A-Coop products. However, feed holes are too small for standard chickens. They would not even look at them until I made them all larger. In the pics you can see the hole is quite small when looking into it as a chicken would. I cut out the outlined portion on each cup which solved the problem. Very little feed is knocked out even with the hole being bigger now and the girls all love them. Would love it if they offered this 10lb size feeder with the option to have a more normal sized hole and without the built in covers so that wouldn’t be needed. But it works now so they are all happy. It’s also been through some serious rain lately and has held up and been completely rain proof too. Very happy with it overall, even bought a second one.

Easy to put together and decent quality. The inside lid can be tough to get off and on but I would buy it again.

This the best feeder dispenser I ever used. No crumbs to sweep up. No loss of food any more.It keeps the food inside the bowl. My quails did not take long to work out how to use it.

I purchased this product thinking it would keep the chick good clean. It does!,,, BECAUSE the chicks cannot get at the food. AS THE SHAFTS ARE TOO DEEP. We had to cut the inserts by at least 1/2 so the chicks could see the food. BY THAT TIME THEY WOULDN’T USE IT.SO I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT
