The Private World of Tasha Tudor

I love this book. I saw her in Victoria magazine years ago, and then again in a bookstore, and finally ordered it on Amazon and read it from front to back in 2 days. I could not put this down. This amazing lady is living life as She wants to live it. This will transport you to a more gentler time, slower than today's crazy pace. You'll be inspired to live up to your own dreams. I love seasons, but I happen to live in a place where we don't have them, this book has enabled me to enjoy them when I need to. Her home and gardens are very inspiring and the photo's are great.

This book helps to fill the gap left with Tasha Tudors passing. We won't have any more of her now. The Private World of Tasha Tudor helps to fill the space. The book depicts a year in Tasha's life, filled with pictures of her house, the things she loved and the place that she loved so well. The writing describes her approach to filling her life, how she lived by writing and illustrating for children when her own children were growing up.She lived as if she were transported in time to an earlier era when times allowed for a more gracious, elegant sensibility.I particularly loved the pictures of inside her house.

The book came quicker than I expected, and it was in great condition. The description on Amazon said it was "new" when I ordered it, and it looks like it actually is brand new rather than something that was printed in 1992. And it's a first edition too. I'm thrilled to have it.

The service was great from the vendor. The book was like new for an affordable price. Had first become acquainted with Tasha Tudor on Pinterest, then YouTubers The Daily Connoisseur (Jennifer L. Scott, also an author), and PaperTams. Then realized that my copy of "The Secret Garden" that I have had all these years is indeed illustrated by Tasha Tudor. The takeaway from her life is that she knew how she wanted to live and lived how she wanted.

The photos were beautiful and the book was well written. I learned so much more about Tasha Tutor. I loved her thoughts and practical lifestyle.

This is the second book I've bought on Tasha Tudor. I'm fascinated with her garden and the way she lived. She felt she should have lived in the 1830's ,and so lived her life that way,surrounded by a modern world. She cooked on a wood stove,which also heated the house,and had no electricity. She lived in a house her son built,modeled after an 1830's home,dressed in clothes of the same time period,and was pretty much self sustaining.She longed for a time gone by,so lived that way. The photographs are beautiful and show off her house and garden to its best.

I can't believe there is a chewing gum on the cover of the book when it arrived!!! I don't know who did this but Amazon should take care of this issue if they want to assure the good customer service. It's disgusting and took me lots of efforts to remove it and the book is stanned.
