Another tool in the box, waiting to be called into duty
My tool collection didn't have anything like this. I have cutting pliers and snips, but nothing that cuts like this. I tested it on a small plant branch, and it cut through quickly. I next tried it on a plastic hose and it effortlessly cut it neatly in half. I then tried some 12/2 electrical wire. I met resistance there. I moved the wire further back in the jaw and it snapped through. I don't know if it can handle any wire bigger than that. It fits great in the hand, allowing the full use of the hand's strength. It feels as though it could be used for hours and hours without causing hand fatigue. Like all tools, it will be sitting and waiting in the box before being called to duty for a particular job.I don't know why they describe it as finger friendly. It is potentially a finger remover and should be treated with respect. When replacing the ceramic blade, my fingers could not avoid coming into contact with the sharp edges. A metal blade would increase the chances of getting cut, just replacing it. No way is this friendly to fingers. As far as the cost being around $30, I'm a little so, so. It seems a little high to me, but then I feel the weight of it, look at how thick the metals are in the construction, and the price seems in line.

sharp, but blade gets loose
I used this for the first time to cut some garden hose. It feels very high quality and well made. It cut easily, but the blade would come loose and pop out about every 3-4 snips. I was constantly retightening it, but don't want to go too hard because of the ceramic blade and I don't want to crack it.I will try with a metal blade and hope that it stays more firmly in place. Otherwise, I may just have to use for smaller, specialty jobs.

Seem pretty durable.
Seems like a fairly durable tool. I do wish it came with more than 1 blade. I haven't had a chance to test them out too much but the blade could be a little sharper. It seemed to struggle just cutting cardboard. I'll have to try some of the other recommended blades. There are some scuffs/scrapes on the one I received so I'm wondering if it was a return or if it just came that way. Not that big of a deal because that tends to happen to tools but you don't expect them on a brand new item.It feels durable and well made and as of now I would recommend it. I'll try to update this review after I have had some time to use it.

Fantastic specialized tool for cutting mostly plastic
This is a pretty specialized tool. It works great for any kind of soft plastic. I use it for 3D Printing filament and trimming supports from models. The tool is very well made it feels great in your hand with a nice cushion grip and smooth spring action. I do think it should come with a spare blade as the Slice Ceramic Blades are not stocked at my HD or Lowes. In a pinch suppose you could use a metal blade but looking online the only one that look like it might fit is the Lenox Gold utility blades. All the other brands (Dewalt, Irwin, Kobalt, etc.) only have two notches and have no chance of fitting. I think it is pretty obvious from the description that this is meant for mostly plastic and maybe occasional soft copper wire. Just looking at the ceramic blade you can tell it should not be used to cut a nail or anything extremely hard. A plumber or someone who works with irrigation/sprinklers should love this tool. I have to give it 5 stars as it does everything it says it does and is a quality well built tool.

Useful
Upon careful consideration, I believe that these cutters would make a valuable addition to my tool collection. However, I must admit that I was slightly disappointed to discover that they only come with a single blade, as I had hoped for more versatility in that regard. Furthermore, while holding these cutters, I couldn't help but notice a slight sense of cheapness in their overall construction, which was a bit disheartening. That being said, there are some redeeming qualities to these cutters. They do exhibit a commendable level of durability, instilling confidence in their ability to withstand rigorous use. Moreover, they have proven to be quite efficient at cutting through various materials, offering a wide range of applications. In conclusion, I would categorize these cutters as decent and reliable tools for general cutting purposes. I am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to put them to the test on different materials, as I believe they will perform admirably. However, it is worth noting that their price point leans towards the higher end, which may deter some potential buyers.

Quality, safe edge cutter
This is and comfortable and generally well made alternative to a standard cutter that accepts razor blades. Standard razor blades do not work well in this at all, but the ceramic ones do. The handles are comfortable and in general, the fiat and finish is ok for the price. The finish is a matte powder coat that scratches rather easily. The handle spare blade holder is a nice touch. The ceramic blade is sufficiently sharp, however without a shim on one side, the blade is not completely perpendicular to the cutting surface. When the blade is tightened down, the blade is pressed to the opposite side and is angled 95 degrees to the cutting surface. This lead to slightly angled cuts on leather and made the blades feel duller than they are. WIth a shim on the opposite side of the tightening knob, the blade straightens out and feels and cuts better. At this price and for the price of replacement blades, this isn't really acceptable.

Solid tool that is perfect for small cuts, but making precise cuts is a bit of a challenge
I keep this handy when I need to make a clean, short cut in plastic, foam, or rubber. I have cut through all three. I know it is supposed to handle PVC, but the jaws don’t open that wide and I already have a PVC cutter that is good for making those cuts. I tried to make a straight cut, but these don’t work well as scissors since it was impossible to cut cleanly along a line. I could make a series of cuts, but it was kinda ragged. The tool itself is durable and I expect it to last for awhile. I am still using the original blade, so it will be interesting to see how long it lasts..
