Used to use a plastic umbrella anchor on our vacations - it was difficult to drive in because the tip had broken after a couple of uses. The Dakepole is heavy duty and made of metal, drove into sand easily and I also used it to hold up a 10 ft. metal pole in my backyard and it did that with no problems also. Was sturdy in both uses.Only concerns that might come up is that it's shown a bit of rust on the areas where the screws go into the pole. Other than that, again very sturdy and easy to put into sand and also remove.

This beach umbrella anchor worked perfectly. It held our umbrella steady even on the windiest days at the beach. It was easy to install and very sturdy. I'm thinking of ordering a second one.

This flag pole anchor was perfect for the beach. The wind was blowing so hard, I knew that it would come out of the sand but it held for the entire day. A huge bonus was that it has thumb screws to tighten the pole in.

I am using this anchoring device in a manner it wasn’t advertised, but I find it works well. I have a long, fiberglass pole that I am using to support a ham radio antenna wire. Recently we had some rather strong winds, and everything held up nicely. I had to make a small addition when using it with a fiberglass pole, and that the three screws used to secure the pole, would dig into the pool too much so I put a small piece of flat metal in front of them to pinch onto the pole.The anchor itself worked well sinking into the ground with a moderate amount of downward pressure while turning.

The first one I bought worked so well, I wanted a 2nd umbrella holder. Easy to install (I have soft soil, Florida sandy lawn), holds really well. I now have 2 large umbrellas for needed shade. Well worth the low price. Highly recommended.

Seems well constructed and is easy to use. Using it to secure an 8 feet wide beach umbrella to the lawn in my backyard. Working very well so far. My only issue is the screws are starting to rust a bit. Besides that, it secures the umbrella very well.

Completely bent day 1 in 12mph winds (20mph max gusts). Extremely disappointed. See images.

This item works fairly well, it actually doesn't work well in hard sand. Keep twisting but doesn't get deeper. It doesn't work so well in Florida windy days at the beach
