Concord 3" Stainless Steel Thermometer for Home Brewing (2" Stem)

I bought this because I needed a thermometer that I could mount onto a cold smoker cabinet that I was building, the temperature readings on this are perfect for my application that I needed it for even though this isn't the intended use that this thermometer was built for. It looks great and was a good value compared to the overpriced digital thermometers that were my other option. The probe length is perfect to mount on the side of my cold smoker.

Accurate and reliable. Has worked reliably every time I’ve used it. Used it approximately six times with long periods of time in between uses.

Just what I was looking for

This thermometer works great for making soap. I got the 6" stem so that it easily reaches the bottom of the jars. It's accurate and easy to read (my old eyes appreciate that).

I used this outside of its intended purpose but it worked fantastic. I needed it to fit through my pool skimmer lid to tell me my water temperature. It is waterproof and built very nicely. The seller was easy to deal with also, Thank you.

Came with no instructions at all in how to calibrate or install. Tips: when calibrating be sure to immerse in liquid up to the theads, otherwise you think it is innacurate. To drill a hole, use a 7/8 hole bit (Lenox about $9 at Lowes, but the bit shank is wider so be sure it will fit your drill). To install place washer on outside of kettle and O ring inside and thead on and tighten. Almost returned this but saw the calibration trick for another product on Amazon, although I think they are most all the same when comparing the face of the thermometer. No leaks and accurate, just a lot of unnecessary time figuring out what should have been instructions in the box.

My husband brews beer and he loved this item. Was very excited over the ease of use and accuracy of the gage!!
