Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This was an unplanned purchase as obviously it's not holiday season yet. The other day I was cleaning the gutter. The uneasy feeling on top of the ladder reminded my how big a hassle each year I have to go through to decorate the house. So I decided to go to Amazon and get one of those "laser light show" type decoration light. While there are many other choices, this one seems to have good balance among features, price, and user reviews.Upon opening the box, I noticed that the build quality is pretty high. Nothing looks flimsy or poorly assembled. The wire connector uses a screw cap with a rubber seal ring (shown in picture), which is quite assuring as we the northwest have very wet winter. The control is literally just a single button, sealed under a piece of rubber as well to make sure it's weather-proof. By default it shows the most dazzling pattern, tons of red and green dots moves around and form different patterns (the kids lover it). There are even "comets" rushing across the "sky" every now and then, which is a really nice touch. Clicking the control button will change patterns. There are a couple of more motion patterns and even more static patterns. Overall this is a solid product. If you're tired of climbing up and down ladders like I am, you should definitely get one. Now I really look forward to the holiday season to show off this new toy to my neighbors.

Best Buy Deals 4 U is a seller to be avoided if you are looking for someone who is willing to stand behind the items they sell. This is apparently a company that has no problem taking someone's hard earned money in exchange for inferior products. I purchased the laser Christmas lights for my daughter this past Christmas. It worked for less than 3 weeks; the green light stopped projecting. I requested to return and it was approved, but at my expense. It would cost over $20 to return a $29 item that was defective. Not worth it. Lesson learned.

We are not too happy right now having spent 43 dollars on a device Walmart has for 38 and already we are having a problem. We took this with us on a camping trip. Its only the third time in use and the green light is working intermittently. It actually worked great for the first two times and for about an hour on the trip. Everybody stopped by to see the pretty lights that for no reason just suddenly stopped working well. We tried using it a fourth time in the house, and found that light tapping the case causes the green light to work for an unreliable amount of time. Seems like some wire connection is loose inside. A shame this was not returnable being a couple of weeks out of the return period. We never spent so much on holiday lights and now feel pretty foolish for having done so.

I ordered two for same day delivery, which is always awesome. Unfortunately, the first one I plugged in didn't work properly. The red laser worked, but not the green. Disappointment. I tried the second one and it worked fine. In fact it's amazing. I had purchased a different brand locally and it was lackluster. This unit blew it away by a massive margin - night and day difference and at the exact same price (which was 19.99 - seems it went up a couple of bucks). Had both units worked, I would rate it at 5 stars because the one unit works so well. I aimed it at a large birch tree in my backyard and set it to red/green moving. I was blown away at the effect. It looks like bight green and red stars sparkling all over the tree as it illuminates a branch, and then disappears (because it's moving). The only downside is that it resets when you cycle power (as in turn off the icicle lights that it's plugged into). When I turn it back on I have to manually reset it to get that effect. However, I like it so much I've ordered the remote control version to replace it and I'll move this one to the other side of the house where it can just be plugged in and left to do it's thing.

I like the pattern of the lights but unfortunately you cannot see the lights until you are right beside our house. We can see the lights on our neighbors' houses (who have other brands of lasers) from all the way down the street. When driving home we cannot see the lights on our house until we are pulling into our driveway. I really wanted to like this laser. The pattern is great and I love the timer and sensor but I do not love that you can't see the lights unless you are basically standing in our front yard.

Had these for 3 weeks or so and they have been working fine. But now after they run the 6 hours on, they go off for a few hours and come back on. Sometimes they come on and pop off again a few times. I'm a light sleeper so I see these at the wee hours of the night. Writing this review right now at 3:30 am and the lights are on!! Normal run time is 5:15 to 11:15pm, this has been going on for the last week. Lights are beautiful wel running right but not at 3 am.

Where to begin! So, I have to admit that my neighbor and I are constantly one-uping the other. I had all of my Christmas stuff outside and noticed that she had this laser light. I guess I have to admit that she won, because I just had to have it. I live on an end unit and positioned this so that it hits the side of my house too. It actually still reaches three houses down so I would highly recommend this.

I bought 3 lights to make a display. The first two I opened didn't work. As I needed three I applied to send them back. I had to pay a substantial amount for shipping. I have yet to receive a credit from the vendor, after a month. Avoid this junk.
