i fell in love with hope

I absolutely DESPISE when my books get beaten up, hence why I was upset finding out how torn up my copy was after a long reading slump, it having been shoved in my backpack for months. But I finally read through the book as an act of defiance towards my boredom and a way to feed my procrastination and not study for just a bit longer. It was after I read it that I realized just how fitting it happened to be that out of all my books, this one was the one that was torn up. I don’t mean that it was a bad book, quite the opposite actually. It took me on a spectacular journey through a perspective that I never would have thought of otherwise. It brought me in with its amazing writing style and raw emotion, the strength of the characters as they went through so much but still loved. This book made me cry harder than I have in a long time, but made me appreciate life all the much more (and brought me out of my reading slump). If anything, now I feel as though it would be wrong for my copy to be perfect, as the story conveys the same about life. This book is alive, and much like all of us, it tells a story of both the broken and the beautiful.

I’ve heard nothing but great things about this book. The author’s writing is beautiful but the physical book came damaged and marked? I believe it got marked and damaged from shipping and getting thrown around. Also got damaged from being thrown while being delivered and I believe the driver broke my vase by throwing the package. I’ve gotten many soft cover books on Amazon and they’ve all came in boxes with bubble wrap but this book was poorly packaged so it came a bit damaged. I’m excited to read this book anyways. Beware of the damages and if you don’t mind a slightly damaged book, order on Amazon but if you like crisp books I say you’re better off going to a book shop.

The quality of the book is great and I thought it was a great book, definitely has a mixture of emotions.

Book was a gift for my daughter in law for the holidays. One of many on her list. She says it's a very good read & recomends it. She was glad to have it as it was no longer available shortly after. 🖤🖤🖤

This book made me cry soo much.

I was bursting with optimism and excitement for this book, spurred by the many positive reviews, the TikTok hype, and the author's poetic prose in the sample pages. Sadly, I'm 90 pages in and folding the book closed every chance I get. It is, for me, at least, very boring.Never have I given a low-star review or even contemplated returning a book. This is the first. Because NOTHING happens. The text is all pretty words and sentences used to fill space that could be utilised with conflict. I'm a sucker for poetic prose, but there comes a point when enough is enough, and STORY needs to happen.I don't know if I'll force myself through the next 300+ pages. This was a lot to spend on a book.

The story is good so far but the book is literally falling apart as I read it. Pages keep falling out. This maybe needs addressing as this isnt the first review that says this

Honestly an absolutely stunning book, i could not recommend it more. it has the most diversity, best quality writing and made me cry the most out of any other peace of literature. just dont read it if you don’t want to be broken beyond repair 😭

Overly flowery language, with no reason to it except to seem poetic. Read the first chapter to see what you think, because the rest of the book is written exactly like it. I got a refund for the book after I got through the first three chapters.

this book is one of the most brilliantly written book that i’ve read in a long time, it completely entrances you into this world the author has created and the emotions it creates is more than most books could enforce!
