Just as bright as halogen but cool. Love it

Writing a review that I thought I would not write - these bulbs look good, have a nice warmer light and of course use much less electricity - BUT and it is a big BUT. I purchased 6 of these and now 7 months later not one is left working. I can only think that the electronics in these bulbs are cheap. They typically start to flicker and then go very dim before they die. On balance I have to think these are worse for the environment and more expensive because they just don't last and the electronics used to build them are pollutants. I would not recommend these because they do not last.

These LED GU10 replacement bulbs are the exact same size as my original halogen GU10 bulbs. The light output is a warm white (slight amber hue)Couple of things to know about the LED bulbs design and performance:1. These bulbs do not have a smooth flat glass lens top. From the edges, the glass goes down slightly and then domes in the middle of the bulb above the LED filaments. If you have, and plan to use, an accompanying small suction cup remover to get this bulb into a covered socket, it might not work easily. fyi2. These bulbs are slightly dimmer than the original halogens. As an example if you have a light dimmer already, it's top brightness is two or three notches down from a regular halogens' top brightness. It makes great mood lighting with the amber hue, but not an exact one-to-one replacement. I don't need bright light in the rooms I have used these so this is not a problem for me.

Pros:- Unlike some GU10 replacements I've tried that were too deep to fit my sockets, these are just the right size and fit perfectly with my older GU10 fixtures with screw-on cap rings.- They are dimmable.Cons:- I purchased the "Warm White" version, but they don't look warm to me. More like Daylight.- Had to upgrade my dimmers to newer LED-compatible versions to get these to work properlyOverall, I'm happy with the purchase, but don't expect "Warm White".UPDATE: One year later, and the bulbs have started to die-off. Hoped they'd last longer than that. Also note that the Fakespot app gives reviews for this product an "F", meaning you can't rely on them being genuine. Probably a bunch of paid shills. Lowering from my initial 4 star review to 3 stars.

After a little over a year, 2 of the 6 bulbs have failed. These bulbs are located in closets, where they get only intermittent use, so I would have expected them to last longer. Also to echo reviews by others, they are not as bright as 25W halogens, which these replaced.UPDATE July 2020. The remaining 4 bulbs (now 6 out of 6) have failed. Going to switch to some other brand. These are junk.

Flickers on low energy setting. However this replaces the Halogen bulbs perfectly for my fumehood, which means theres no gaps and shape differences from a halogen, which I needed since it makes an air tight seal for my fume hood.
