He has used it a few times and informed me it is easy, effective and comfortable to use
The Grill Hog cleans the BBQ grill exactly as advertised. I bought this tool for my husband after reading about the dangers of using a metal brush to clean the grill. He has used it a few times and informed me it is easy, effective and comfortable to use. It cleans as well, if not better than a metal brush. An added bonus is this product is made in the USA. I would have given this tool a 5 star rating if it was not for the unfinished, chewed up look of the wood when I received it. For the price of $19.99, I feel the product should be sanded, finished and not missing a small chunk out of the handle.

I'm still assessing if this was a good buy. It was easy to use, used it my garage.

Good Product
First off I would like to say I would of given this a 5 star rating except I did not get any instructions on how to use it. I had to look up video's on You Tube on how to do this. With that said this is a very good product, after you get the grooves burned in it works well. I also like that it is not overly abrasive and does not leave any fine metal particles behind. Be sure to take your time when burning in your grooves to ensure that you get a good fit. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Great!
If you are used to using the old wire options for scraping your grill, using this scraper will be a different experience. First, it requires a little more patience and work at the beginning to get the grooves burned in from your grill. Second, you won't spend your time looking for stray metal pieces left over on the grill after scraping. The purchase is worth not worrying about those stray metal pieces. The product is good quality and feels good in hand. I used a sander to make the wood handle a bit more smooth when I first got it. It works well to remove the debris stuck to the grill surface from the last meal. I recommend you get one!

Functionally Great Product
This is a great, safe, non-abrasive way to clean my porcelain grill grates. The burn-in on the edge to "customize" the scraper was easy. My only "complaint" was that the edges could have been sanded to provide a more finished look and feel. Mine wasn't, as other have described, going to splinter my hands or anything of that sort. That said, it's the only reason it didn't receive 5 stars. But, that doesn't take away from the functionality one bit; it's still a great product. If Grill Hog were to make this minor improvement, it would go a long way to show they're listening to their customer base.

More like a 3.5 rating
I have not actually used this yet but I'm sure it will work great but there are two things that I do not like about this product. 1: the handle is very rough and there are splinters visible which lead me to believe that, unless I want to get slivers, I would need to wear gloves with this product. 2: there were no instructions so I had to look u how to use it.All in all I'm sure this product will do what it is intended to do but there are some flaws as well.

Works great
Good large size. The grooves start to form after a couple of uses if you clean the bbq while it's still hot.I find it easier to use than my wire brush and it's nice not worrying about getting bits of wire in the food. Can also be used with bbq wipes.

Great. Will buy again if needing a new one but I think this one will last a really long time.

No Brainer!
I've used this now for about 4 weeks, 2-3 times a week, and I'm loving every minute. It took a few uses for the grill lines to imprint on the edge, being a deeper grill, it's working very well.I'm using the sharp edge for my main grill, it has the most depth available to work in the grooves and then I flip it over and am using the other side for my raised grill that I heat things on (buns, etc). I don't have to apply much pressure there as the top grill is very small wire, similar to that of wire shelving.I tried traditional wire brushes and witnessed first hand the wires sticking to the grill. I then went to the white grill "stone". I don't want to spend 20 minutes cleaning the powder residue off of my grill every time I use it, and it made a huge mess. The simplicity of this is great, and the smell when using it on a hot grill, Oh La La! I am guilty of turning on my side burner and giving it a small hit of direct flame to get some extra smells in the yard. I've spoken to several people about it and they grill less often than I do, and they are finally leaning towards the smart move. The ONLY negative thing is the lack of a strap. They do have a hole drilled for a strap, but one did not come with mine.Overall, I'll be sticking to this, and I'll likely grab a few more for those indecisive friends mentioned above.

All received where in excellent condition with no knots in the wood that would ...
Ordered this scrapper the day after a friend had a metal bbq brush bristle surgically removed from his throat I actually purchased 3 of these, 1 for me as 2 for other family members. All received where in excellent condition with no knots in the wood that would affect it's use. The scrapper is quit long and the end of the scrapper is cut on a diagnal so that you have a some suface the actually scrapes the grill. The angle makes you use the scrapper on kind of a steep angle so if you have a second level shelf on the bbq you need to be careful that you don't hit it with your hand while scrapping. Would have been nice if the angle was cut less steep. However overall this scrapper works well and removes all food from the grill. I have used it about 4 times now and you can see the grill marks and shape starting to work it's way into the wood. Once these become a little deeper I can see this product working even better. Overall I would defiantly purchase this product again. It's a great alternative to anyone looking to get rid of there metal brustle brushes.
