I love Marianne Williamson and this book allows me to check-in daily. There is always a beautiful message to read.

I am slowly returning to the power of prayer in my life. After my mother transitioned in 1996, my building frustration with the Catholic Church soon turned into complete rejection. It is my belief that the Catholic Church kept me and millions of other Catholics in a constant state of fear. My mother was a deeply religious and devout catholic. She had a tremendously giving heart. She was well loved and respected in our neighborhood. Because of this and many more things , I felt she was a saint. My father was also a good man who was also a good catholic. I grew up in a very religious home. There were lots of religious artifacts in nearly every room.but instead of it bringing me comfort, it made me more present to what I did wrong and the artifacts were constant reminders of my failures to be as good a person as my parents.So I walked away from the church collapsing prayer with being false. However, I cannot deny the power of prayer in saving me from a bad relationship and opening me up to a life where many of my dreams came to fruition. From 1985-86, I was in constant prayer. Slowly my life began to blossom.After my mother transitioned, it seemed nearly every weekly homily/sermon was a damnation of many things that were indelible part of who I am.i couldn't hear much that was uplifting.So because of my rejection of the church, I stopped the practice of prayer.I am slowly realizing how much prayer was comforting. I began slowly adapting some of my prayer practices. I have had a recurring dream of being lost, trapped, in danger. I had a dream analyst analyze my dream and it ultimately said I need to return to the practices that give me confidence and comfort and that feeling of security I received from my parents.And then this book arrives. Also in one of my deeply painful times, I discovered Marianne and even got a chance to see her in New York a couple of times.This book couldn't be more timely. I thank Marianne again and the power of prayer.

I just received my beautiful hard cover copy, and opened at random to Day 247 - Today I Will Not Play Small. "Today I will not allow false modesty to keep me from claiming the power within me. I am so happy that I decided on the hard cover, as this generous and stunning book will be my closest companion displayed on my family room table for the whole year and more. Since, I am delighted to have Marianne's precious words of Grace to illuminate my thoughts closer at hand for family and friends.I have been a devout follower of Marianne and ACIM student since 1992. This is the first book that resonates in a powerful way with Mike Dooley's incredible Notes From The Universe that I love. However, what's even more is Marianne's creative power of thought-through reflections of magnificent prayer. I never tire of reading her beautiful words that transpire the Grace of God throughout the pages of "A Year of Miracles." I ordered this book with the plan to use it daily as a devotional resource. I’d hoped I could use it as a guide to reflect on specific circumstances going on in my life; to help me focus on situations I might be experiencing. I want to say the devotions in this book are tremendously helpful and insightful. I love each and every one. However, to find the perfect prayer for any situation, you have to leaf through the entire book, which is close to 400 pages. Needless to say this is time consuming and bothersome. I would like to see a newer edition published with an index, which would direct the seeker to a specific page number that addresses a particular spiritual need. For example, when struggling with such issues as sadness, cynicism, jealousy, weakness, failure, etc., the reader could be directed to the page number of a prayer that would provide comfort and support on the issue. Otherwise, the prayers are beautiful and instructive.

Short, to the point but so impactful message each day. Have used other daily reflection books, but this one has been the BEST!

I have been a fan of Marianne Williamson since early 2000s when I discovered her first book "A Return to Love". I had been looking for a daily devotional book when I found this and bought it immediately. 44 days in and I know I made the right decision as I totally love it! To me the daily devotions seem based on some of her teachings on A Course in Miracles, so it's great to see that connection as I do have the text but have not started reading it. What I'm finding is each morning if I wake up with a negative thought, or if something is bothering me from the night before, the daily devotion will give me some kind of answer or perspective. Marianne is truly an enlightened master and I don't know her from Adam, don't know her character in real life, but what I do know is that her message speaks to me in a way that other religious texts have not. And because of that, I am able to view religion and religious texts (the Bible mainly) in a different light or through different eyes. A few friends have asked me what book I'm using as sometimes I post the devotions on IG so that's saying something. I would however, only recommend this book if you're familiar, even somewhat, with her teachings on A Course in Miracles or have read some of her other books, otherwise you may struggle a little, or may not understand, or it may not speak to you in the same way. I can't say for certain, but that's just my view. Either way, if you're reading this review then you are at the start of a wonderful journey and will probably have been guided here by your intuition. So trust it to guide you to the right book / daily practice that works for you (I struggle with meditation so this works for me) and is able to offer you what you NEED. Don't base your decision on what others think, as only you know what's best for you. All the best... X

This is a lovely book of daily devotions. They are not overly long or overly religious, so should appeal to a wide cross section of readers. There is a usually a few paragraphs, sometimes with a little prayer at the end often about loving yourself and others. Just all round good vibes to start or end your day.

I have started it on the 01 of June and will do 365 days from there. I have done something similar with OG Mandino's ten scrolls and 40 day journey with Dietrich Bonnhoeffer. I'm expecting the same thing and it is a year long experience that I'm adding to my spiritual journey.

A great book to change your thoughts in to good things

Wonderful, reflective and spiritual readings to begin each day (many daily reading ending with a prayer). Marianne at her best... a wonderful gift that just keeps giving to yourself and others.
