I'm shocked at how bright this thing is! It is small but thats great because it's light weight and has a built in carbineer on the bottom to easily clip on fixtures to hang. My living room/ kitchen is about 16x 30 and this thing illuminates that entire area when hung from my light fixture. It's better than the bigger lantern I have!

I don’t understand all of the reviews condemning this lanterns size. Yes, it is small, but it is heavy and seems well-built and is extremely bright. I for one welcome the small stature as I really don’t need to commit a bunch of space for a lantern I’ll pull out once or twice a year when the power goes out. Simple operation by pushing the one button gives you bright, dim, or off. If you want to hang this light, you can use the large hook on the top or a smaller hook on the bottom that I suspect would work well for hanging upside down to illuminate a tent. This was one of the cheapest options for a small lantern, but I think I made the right choice and would recommend this to anyone.

This small lantern is a handy size and very bright. Both settings are good for use around the house or outside. Makes a good night stand light for easy use.

The lantern is tiny which is great for storing but I was worried that it wouldn’t be bright enough. I was so wrong! It’s extremely bright!
