Excellent review material
This book really helped my study for the NCLEX. It is the only study material I used and I only studied for about three weeks. I passed the NCLEX with just 87 questions and I think it was due to doing so many of these practice problems. The book has good rationales for why an answer is correct. Occasionally it won't and that can be frustrating but those questions/answers are also usually simple/common sense questions. I think it had a good range of types of questions and material covered. It has sections for maternity, psych, children's, and adult health. So for each of these there were hundreds of questions and then at the end of the book there were about 10+ comprehensive tests with 180 questions each that covered all the topics. On top of all of that there is a CD included to help you practice using the computer during testing. You can only do the individual sections not a comprehensive exam. Also you can do a review or tests and pick the number of questions. Through the CD there are visual and audio questions. The only down side was that I would have preferred more select all that apply because that was my weak area but overall I didn't have too many on my exam that would change my opinion of the book.I strongly recommend this book as it is isn't super expensive and provides a good comprehensive review.

Great to study for both the HESI and NCLEX
I would highly recommend this product for all nursing students. I used this exclusively to study for my exit HESI test and I got a 1100. I am continuing to use this to practice for the NCLEX. I just answer about 20 questions a day. I love the CD that comes with it. You can do a whole practice test with it or a "review." During the review, you choose how many questions you want to do then it gives you the rationale as you go along. I also love that the book is separated into sections, so I was able to concentrate on areas that I had the most trouble with. I had friends that used the Saunders book and they did not do as well on the HESI. This book does not contain a review, but I did not need one, I just used class notes to review. Practicing questions were more important than looking over notes. This is a great value and a must have for all nursing students!

Super Review
This is a great NCLEX review book. It has a ton of questions that are not only divided into categories, but also into subjects within that category. For example, if you are reviewing the endocrine system, you can choose certain diseases within that system. My test did not include diabetes mellitis (since I had it previously) so I could choose to study the endocrine system and skip the DM questions. It also has a good many alternate format questions such as select all that apply, ordering, pictures, data..etc. It gives great rationale for each question/answer too. Would definitely recommend this book to any nursing student!!!!For reference, I also have the Saunders Comprehensive Review for NCLEX, and Kaplan NCLEX as well as some older computer CD's for review.

Passed on First Attempt
This is the best resource for running questions. I got pinned August 2 and took the first testing date near me, August 27. I did 5 of the 6 comprehensive practice tests (180 questions each) in the back of this book and carefully reviewed the rationales for anything I missed. The rationales here are the best of any resource I've ever seen! (Knocks ATI out of the water). All five of my practice scores ranged from 68-73. I took 91 NCLEX questions in 70 minutes.I did not give a 5-star rating because the cd-rom is sluggish, the online content is very limited (only 300 questions) and you can't choose your topic areas. The download for Iphone did not work.Overall, the book itself is a great study tool and I recommend it. I can't imagine the reviews that cost hundreds of dollars can be any better than this.

Excellent
I love this book tons of Q. the rationals are in the back where they should be. It has help me a lot while in nursing school. In order to get the most out of nclex books the answers should be in the back making you practice question after question . set goals and time yourself. I usually do 300Q when test are coming up . doing question after questions simulates actual nursing test school test. I have other books that have questions & answers & rationale next to each other you just got to cover the rationale they might help to review but wont help you in test taking strategy.

best way to pass the NCLEX
I bought 3 different study guides and this one was BY FAR the best. in fact I think I would have failed the NCLEX if I had just used my other study guides and not bought this one. the study topics are broken down in such a smart way; you will get plenty of different questions on each topic that you will breeze through the NCLEX test. it helped me PASS just this May!!!but give yourself time to study because there are a TON of questions and you will need almost a month to get through this whole book and absorb all of the material.GREAT BUY

Excellent in alternate item questions! a must buy!
I liked this textbook a lot because of all the varities of alternate item format questions. There are pictures/labeling, place steps in order, many select all that apply, management/delegation, who would you see first. The book also breaks into certain topics. There will be for an example client with an Endocrine disorder and then there will be an amount of questions under disorders for Endocrine: Cushings disease, Addison's disease, Diabtes, Pituitary disorders. I thought this book was great and I wish I would have purchased it for exams and classroom theory. It is a must buy!
