This was the first time I bought raw shea butter. I was having a hard time spreading it on my legs, so I ended up "whipping" it, I added a little olive oil and lavender essential oil (was the only scent I had on hand) to it. Works much better now. I'd like to suggest to the company that they add some essential oil to the shea butter as I didn't care for the original scent at all.

I do like this product very much, I'll tell you why: it's the only thing that has ever worked to improve the appearance of the aging skin on my upper chest (aka cleavage) that had sun damage and old scarring. I started using this product (put a little scoop between your palms and rub them together for a few seconds until it melts) two weeks ago and I can actually see the change and I expect it to continue. I would have waited 30 days to write my review, but I see someone has written a less than good review, so I wanted to add my 2 cents. Now I use this product all over, including my face. It's pure. There are no chemicals or scents added. That's probably why it doesn't smell great, so yes, add an essential oil. I do, but don't add it when you put it on your face. And when you first put it on it looks shiny. But the smell disappears and the butter is absorbed. Don't go by the first impression, wait for the result! It may not work for everybody, but it does work for me.

This stuff has the consistency of dried mud. You have to kind of scrape it out of the container. Further, it smells like old funky socks. I am returning it. I originally purchased it because it's natural and cruelty free, but this is like slapping dried mud on your face.

This product seems to be good: we got satisfying results. We have used it on our hands and cracked heels on daily basis. The skin does feel softer and nicer. We have also applied it for mosquito bites or itchy skin. So far we like it.Thank you Bursting with Nature for the fine product.
