Hodedah Import Island with Spice Rack & Towel Rack Kitchen Cabinet

This is a nice cabinet and a hell of a bargain for the price. The problem is the way the cabinet is packaged. The styrofoam that surrounds the cabinet gets flattened and crumbles into little pieces because of the weight of the cabinet. It's a good piece of furniture but because of the weight and the way most carrier's handle heavy items to deliver, it arrives damage the majority of times, like in my case. Believe me people once you see this cabinet you will not believe this is $128.00 without taxes by the way....😀 Like I said my cabinet arrived damaged, but like always Amazon has made this right and to my complete satisfaction.

I wish I had read the reviews here more carefully before purchasing this product. I have experienced many of the same problems previously mentioned by other reviewers.In particular, the unit was not packaged appropriately for something that heavy. Its external packaging arrived all beaten up, and consequently, the pieces inside were damaged and coated with polystyrene foam that had disintegrated during shipping. This foam went everywhere when you opened the box. What's worse, individual parts were badly scratched from rubbing against one another during shipping. This ruined the overall surface appearance of the final unit.One major piece came with an obvious manufacturing flaw (see the photo attached).Additionally, the unit was a pain to assemble, and the instructions were full of mistakes and incorrectly or unlabeled pieces.This product is definitively not something I would recommend despite what seems like an attractive price.

Complete waste of money horribly packaged (on no2 now first one completely unusable it was damaged so bad) horrible instructions you have to undo previous steps to complete the next one. Finally got the thing together and it's flimsy. Will do for about a year then will probably be thrown away

This package came all beaten up. When my husband finally got it together, after hours, due to inadequate directions it was all damaged!!! The directions were so bad he had to take pieces back apart because the steps were wrong. This is a huge disappointment!!

Parts that break as you try to install, to parts included that can't work per the instructions, to pre-drilled holes that are in the complete wrong spot, this unit is complete trash. My favorite part is the nails to hold the bottom of the drawers together that are too short to go through the intended drawer walls, thus don't hold anything together. My least favorite part: the broken cabinet magnet latch, the broken cabinet door spring, the scratched top, the fact that this unit will cost as much to throw away than it did to buy it.

Poorly made item..everything from the pressed wood that falls apart as I put together each side of the item to the drawer handles that didn’t screw all the way.. very wobbly and not durable at all.. products like this are suppose to withstand cooking and all things kitchen.. this items counter top is already chipping away and is not water Proof. Im sure I will have to replace within the year or so due to its poor quality

Some of the pre drilled holes were wrong, so a drawer won't completely close. The directions were terrible, you couldn't understand which part was supposed to go where. Some parts were not labeled. I wanted to replace the whole kitchen in my basement with these products because I liked the looks of them, well that isn't going to take place now, I will go out and buy the rest of my cubboards already put together.

It’s a good cabinet, heavy and sturdy. The assembly instructions are horrible, difficult to follow. The panels are not labeled, had to take it “apart” several times because of this. Panels need labels, top/bottom, front/back & left/right.

super cheap quality particle board, which had 6 slightly damaged random sections, chips, gouges and adhesive finish is peeling off already and i haven't finished assembly yet,! one pre-assembled drawer is stapled together wrong, (off by half inch), so it will not close,so i have to re do what the factory failed at, 1 leg is missing a plastic end cap(so that'll scrape nicely on a hardwood floor), the instructions are faulty,a few misprints but the real knee slapper is, following step 3 makes step 4 a dead end! good luck there lmao!, not even assembled and i already need wood glue to salvage this $200 pile...i'm sure i'll encounter additional flaws as i near completion of this purchase..

Looks great when out together. However....Takes 2 hours to assemble because the instructions are garbage.Once I got it 100% assembled. I noticed the top was DAMAGED!! Not only that. The drawers do not open and close properly and the shelves inside the 2 cupboards don't sit level.I'm Extremely disappointed in this unit!! After reading all the great reviews I was so excited to get mine... and now I'm wondering if it was all worth it! 😞

It was a pain to assemble, the instructions are full of mistakes, we did, undo and redo many step, saying left when it was right, also there was so many chipping, scratching that we saw adter 2 hours making it that I won't return it, but I wish I could at least get a partial reimbursement, it looks used and it's new!!! Otherwise, it has everything I wanted and is sturdy.

I was tempted to send this item back.I normally dont write bad reviews, but I would never recommend this product.Once I open the package, the foam went everywhere!!! It looked like it was snowing in my home.This was the most complicated item I have ever put together. Some of the screws were not labeled correctly and the directions/ Pictures were somewhat difficult to understand.Some pieces came damaged and looked like they were previously used.The instructions stated that there should be holes at the bottom/ base of the stand and other areas. however, no holes were bored or, they were vary faint.It took about 5 hours to put this together and another hour to clean up the foam that flew everywhere.Lastly, the doors are constantly falling out because the product is cheaply made.Not worth the price I was charged.

Where do I start? I purchased this item because I needed a little more counter space in my kitchen, but this product is not only cheap and defective, but it comes with the worst instructions I've ever read. Improper labeling of parts, damaged and broken parts. It took several hours to assemble as I had to measure each part due to improper or no labels on panels. The quality is so cheap and not worth the price or time. After assembly, my son accidentally spilled some soda syrup on the top and it actually seeped in and stained the board. As per instruction, I did not use any chemicals, just water and a sponge to clean the mess, but it actually scrubbed the top material off revealing the cheap particle board beneath (same day it was assembled).The legs were not the same length and wobbly....I was skeptical after reading previous reviews, but I took a chance because it actually "looks" quite nice in the photos. I would not recommend anyone purchasing this product. Pay a little more for a storage/island that is of good quality!
