Works but you cant control the water
We used this when we left for a 5 day vacation. We probably shouldnt have added some for the weekly plants like monstera, bec it overwatered the soil and the roots, so it probably got root rot (?) and drew bugs into the house. It would be great if the packet of the ropes also had reminders for something like that for plant noobs like us.

Much, MUCH better than any clothesline
Will update as time goes on.If you know anything about how to use wicking to water plants, get this before it changes.

Worked great for our hydro gardens
Our hydro gardens weren’t getting enough water in the pods. These worked perfectly to help pull the water from the tubs into the pods

Almost too much water but very effective
Used this cord for a group of 6 plants while gone for a month, using a large dutch oven in the middle of the group of plants as the water source. I tested it in advance and saw that the cord quickly absorbed the water and got so wet that water droplets actually dripped off the cord so it was almost too much water for my type of plants that only need a little, but consistent moisture. Be sure to read the instructions about positioning, testing and the part where it says to tie knots in the cord to slow down the water flow if it gets too wet. I tied knots and repositioned the cord and left it that way for a month. When I returned home, the dutch oven was empty but the plants were still moist. Time will tell if the roots of the plants got too saturated, but the good news is the cord did its job easily and effectively.

Easy solution to drip watering
If you are not hung up on visuals then this is a very good solution to your watering needs for small to medium size pots. You also increase the number of strings for increased needs for larger pots. I am very happy and now just keep an eye on the containers to refill.

It really works!
I hung a plastic jug about a foot above my 4 plants. I ran 4 wick cords from the jug down to the plants. They dripped very slowly, about an ounce overnight. I should be able to leave my plants for at least a eeek.

Unable to set up wicking successfully
I bought it for the sole purpose of keeping my 30+ indoor plants watered while away for a few weeks. Unfortunately, I just wouldn't trust this method to keep my plants happily watered. I watched many you tube videos and tested it over a few days to see how it would work. I tried various ways of reducing the flow of water but each day, the water pots for the wicking were empty, my plants saturated and their stand pots were over flowing in water so the plants were sitting in a pot of water. If no one is to watch over them, they'd just be sitting in this water until they drowned. I've resorted to persuading my son to postpone moving out and to remain at home until I return just so my plants don't perish.

Not great
Tried this out indoors before using it in the garden to see how long a 4pt milk container would last on my allotment. It started well. While both containers were level I got a steady 11 second drip. When I moved the full container 4 inches higher, I got a steady 6 second drip. Great I thought and left it to drip. Then it stopped. Now it's not dripping at all. I've taken the cord out. Put it back in. Nothing. So it's not reliable in my tests. Shame as I was really hoping it would be the answer to my cracking tomatoes when I can't get to the the the allotment in hot weather.

Kept Greenhouse Watered for a Week
This was such a great investment for our week holiday away from home in early June. All the young plants were kept hydrated and all survived.

Worked amazing!
i was going for two weeks holiday and was very worried about my little jungle, i purchased spikes for water bottles, water balls and string which i placed in multiple wine bottles all over the plants and omg it did he trick, i am very pleased with this method. i definitely recommend, in my opinion this worked best of all methods i tried. it worked perfectly for 2 weeks, but for longer than that you will probably need bigger container than wine bottle, because it was almost all gone. it's great product.

Amazing, my plants were all alive and happy after a 10 days holiday.
This is just great. So easy to use! I thought I had to buy some expensive automatic watering system but this was just as good.It comes with instructions which explains you how to position it and how to make the flow faster or slower and all I did was put a big pot with water in the center of the room and moved all my plants around it, then you put the rope into the water and on the plants soil and that's it! Even my expensive plants were just fine after our long holiday. Definitely will use again.
