They then create a work of art from the shade with fossilized, sustainably harvested leaves. Organic dyes are applied to uniquely and naturally stain the leaf. The resulting effect is a lamp with different hues and shades, sometimes within the same leaf. Artisans adhere the stained leaves to a heat resistant backing and use a strong sealant to ensure the beauty, stability and integrity of the shade.
