If you're buying this audiobook to hear a recording of the hardcopy "Malcolm X: the Last Speeches" (edited by Bruce Perry), be advised that this book is an unorganized collection of snippets of the original source tapes. It does not have the introductory essay, forward, or notes preceding each speech. You cannot figure out what audio clip is from what speech, or from what year––which is crucial when dealing with Malcolm X's speeches.If, on the other hand, you already have the hard copy and have read it, and merely want to hear Malcolm deliver several of the pericopes from this book then by all means, pick it up.As a historical artifact it is great; as a historical resource it is almost useless.

The speeches were powerful 90% percent of what was spoken about and protested against still exists today so sad America so sad

This is a good read. Reading this book gave me more insight into the life of Malcolm X, especially during his last few years of life. I would highly recommend adding this book for your library.

This book consists of Malcolm X's final speeches before he was murdered. Deep, philosophical words of wisdom fill the pages and it is hard to put down the book once you begin to read it. A grand speaker that could have debated with the best in the world, it is a shame he was taken away from this world at such a young age. Speaking with such assurance and validity it is hard to ignore the words he spoke to the people. A man who was not afraid to stare death in the face and continue on riding the white horse of truth through the gates of hell, malcolm X simply proves in this book just how much he had grown from his "angry black man" tirade during his days in the Nation of Islam. There is no doubt in my mind if he were alive today, he would still be speaking throughout the world using the power of his words to bring forth real hope and change where there isn't any. I urge anyone interested in malcolm X to pick up this book because his words are still fresh and at times one becomes deeply involved in the words he is speaking, you feel you are in that hot, sweaty room watching him spread the good word.

CD will not play in my player, also cannot be duplicated, my worst purchase yet at Amazon

Ordered this cd and it had no sound. Returned it and ordered a replacement cd and it also had no sound! : l
