Most comfortable for a night splint
This night’s splint gives me a reduction in pain in the mornings. I have had plantar fasciitis for years and honestly nothing seems to work long-term. I will say that this has been the best one that I’ve ever gotten. It’s pretty comfortable and wearing it to bed is not too bad. The plastic on the outside tends to slip around better under the blankets at night. I used padding from an old night splint to take up the space where it’s loose around the straps. I also use a frankincense and castor oil roll on that works better than any over-the-counter or prescription topical. This night splint definitely helps the morning pain.

A MUST for Achilles Tendonitis
I have been suffering, SUFFERING, with Achilles tendinitis for 8 mos. I have tried everything, RICE, orthotics, heel lifts, stretches, ice, heat, new shoes, acupuncture, hot yoga and physical therapy. Nothing was helping. I am DESPERATE to get back to playing tennis, or even have of hope of doing so. I ran across this boot and thought I may try it out. Is it bulky, yes. Is it painful, yes. But, DOES IT WORK?? YES!!!! I can only bear to have it on for about 3 hours, max. Props to all of you that can go a full night wearing it. I have used it for the last few days for two 2 hour intervals during the day and two 3 hour intervals at night. I am happy to report that I am PAIN FREE! No pain, zero. This morning I couldn't wait to get the damn thing off bc the stretch was over the top, however, when I took it off, the stretch in my ankle eased. I get up and was able to walk without shooting pain. I did an Epsom Salt foot bath, threw some KT tape on and did yoga. I feel great. Give this boot a shot. WELL worth the money.

Works well to reduce pain in the morning
Not bad for the price, the only gripe I have is that the velcro on the straps doesn't go back far enough on the calf strap to keep it snug in place but its not bad. I'm between a 10.5 and 11 shoe and got the medium sizes, it is pushing the size a bit but I think it works well for me, not too big or small. was strange sleeping in them the first few nights, but got accustomed to it quickly. most importantly it helps with that first step in the morning and seems to help make the rest of the steps that day easier.

Okay, but could be much better
This splint mostly gets the job done. It provides a decent stretch to the plantar facia and achiles. The main issues preventing a higher rating are quality of materials and the inability to select Left or Right foot. The biggest issue is that when ordering they do no allow you select Left/Right. Not having the option, I assumed it would work for either foot. The splint I received was clearly marked Left. I need a Right. It still works, but the fit is a bit wonky and not as comfortable as it could be. Adding the L/R option when ordering seems like a very simple thing to do.The material quality is not terrible, but its not particularly good, either. The buckles are low quality and can't handle much tightening. That being said, it gets the job done.

Helpful for plantar fasciitis
This splint is very helpful for stretching your calf and foot if you suffer from bouts of plantar fasciitis. But note - it is NOT for walking! I wear it about an hour at a time while I am reading or watching tv. If you wanted to wear it while sleeping, you would have to gradually work up to wearing it that long. I wear a size 10 shoe and the medium fit perfectly. The Velcro works well and the straps are easily adjustable depending on how much you want to pull your foot toward you. I don’t think it will “cure” my plantar fasciitis, but it is another great tool to use during a flare up.

Great but not for walking
This is a lightweight version of the Aircast. It is comfortable and lightweight. Because of its weight it will bend if you try to use it for walking. It keeps your foot at the proper angle while sleeping and is light enough so it doesn't keep you awake. The inner liner can be removed for washing. It is definitely worth the price. This is not designed to be a walking brace so don't think it will work for that. It works perfectly for what it was designed for.

Who designed this thing????
I bought this night splint hoping that it would be a lighter and less bulky alternative to the walking boot that I have been using following foot surgery. While it is definitely lighter and less bulky, it is a total fail in all other regards. The design misses the most basic aspects of biomechanics, and it clearly did not go through any beta-testing with real users. The straps are designed to fit specific foot/leg profile only and cannot be either lengthened or shortened by more than an inch due to the placement of the velcro on the boot and the impossibility of getting the other end of the velcro through the belt buckle. This, in my case, leaves the straps loose and my foot and leg able to move, defeating the purpose of the splint. My heel continually rises from the bottom of the splint, causing the plantar flexion that the splint should prevent. The straps also place pressure on exactly the wrong place on the top of my midfoot, causing pain over the surgery site where bone fusion is ongoing. Finally, as other reviewers have mentioned, the placement of the strap buckles on the outside of the foot/ankle (when used on the R foot) requires that the user be a contortionist to get them buckled and unbuckled. A pre-market trial of this product with actual users would have identified this as a major problem and should have led to the realization that a simple pull-through adjustable velcro strap (like the one on walking boots) would have been a better design for a boot intended for use on either foot.I am returning the product and will continue wearing my walking boot at night.
