Jackson (Mercy Ring Book 1)

This book was so good that I couldn’t put it down and read it in one day. River and Jackson are the epitome of soul mates and fated lovers. Loved the romantic suspense and action. Written so well that everything just flowed smoothly. Great book!

I like the chemistry between them. I really liked the push and pull, and how certain she was in everything.

Okay so I read these out of order, but reading the first one now after reading the 3rd and part of the second. I’d say these are not truly standalones. In fact the 3rd is so much better now that I know all the characters and heard their stories. If your reading these as truly standalones be weary, there are spoilers…*spoilers ahead * Overall the book was decent, I wish Jackson would have had a larger emotional range, we never saw or felt his loss over Ryker and I wish he would have vocalized that more in his POV. Other than that, the angst was good, it was well written, kept you engaged and rolled into Declan super well! Excited to read more by this author.

This was a great start to a new series. Although Jackson and his team were mentioned in the Blue Halo series, I don’t think of this as a spin off. It is the first series where the men are just men, not DNA altered super soldiers. They are just as protective and have the same ex-military mentality, but they don’t have super speed or hearing.Jackson is back in the town he grew up in, somewhere he vowed never to return, for his best friend’s funeral. Of course he runs into River, his best friend’s little sister and the only woman he’s ever loved. River has spent the last 16 years trying to get over Jackson, but while investigating her brother’s death, Jackson inserts himself back into her life and as hard as she tries, she can’t deny her feelings for him. River is determined to prove her brother, Ryker, is still alive, and that puts her life in danger. Jackson knew if he saw River he would never be able to walk away a second time, so while he and his team help River, he also starts thinking about the future. Can he stay in the town he despises for the woman he loves?This book was full of mystery, romance and suspense. It was a great introduction to Jackson’s team and I loved the view into the guys opening Mercy Ring. It was different than the other books I’ve read by Nyssa Kathryn, but just as good.

Wow! What a LOT of mystery and intrigue going on! I loved it! Jackson and River were perfect for each other!

The story pace was really good not to fast or to slow. The back history was there and made sense. The smut was lite only a few scenes but still good. And the ending fit great no cliff hangers. Overall a good book.

Loved it, great storyline. Perfect mix of romance and action. Amazing characters. Excited to read next one. Couldn’t put it down.

Love the first instalment of the new series.River and Jackson have a tense history. Having declared her love for him at seventeen and him rejecting her has made Jackson’s return to their home town frosty. Unfortunately his return is for the funeral of rivers brother and Jackson’s teammate ryker.Never believing that Ryker was actually dead river begins a tenacious plan to prove that something else has happened. Jackson trying to protect and support her in her grief tries to keep her safe until he realises that she might not be far off the mark with her belief.This was fantastic, I loved it. I’m glad that the frostiness between river and Jackson didn’t go on for too long. Some books can drag it out but this was perfect.I could feel rivers grief for her brother and frustration that no one believed her.Can’t wait to read the next in the series.

I really enjoyed this book, I loved how adamant Rae was that her brother was still alive and that the guys helped her find out the truth. Looking forward to reading about the other guys too.

Such a good read. Can’t wait to continue the series with the other characters. I couldn’t put it down and hope the rest are the same!
