These cartridges are not the same shape as the old universal cartridge in my pen (just a turned-wood pen, no problems with it previously).In both pics, the Explormate cartridge is on the left & the one I already had is on the right.When I put my old cartridge in, it stays in place because it clicks in up to the little 'shoulder' line. When I put the new one in, the narrow end is pierced so the ink can flow, but the cartridge then rattles around loosely inside the pen.First I tried slicing off a little bit of the narrower end of the new cartridge, but it still didn't sit right. Then I twisted up a piece of paper and stuffed it in the other end of the pen so that when I screwed it back on, the cartridge couldn't move. It's working like this for now, but I wouldn't order these again or recommend them - unless your cartridges look exactly like these.

I am having bad luck lately buying ink cartridges.the order before this one most of the cartridges were empty.so this time I ordered this more expensive set.the problem with these and one of my Shaffer pens is that the cartridge does not fit tight in the pen spout, if you shake it our turn the pen upside down the cartridge falls off with ink everywhere.I have not tried these with any of y other pens yet, so no comment on how it may work with them, I have used ink cartridges for close to fifty years and it is only as of late that I have been running into a lot of problems.I have now ordered two different shaffer brand cartridges, will give a report on them when they arrive.

I finally got one cartridge to fit into the pen that suggested this brand and....it certainly had ink come out, just not the nib. I am now the possessor of the horribly stained pants custom made for me on Savile Row in London. Does your firm plan to make good on the 2,000 pounds that a new suit will cost? The very pleasant lady who sells the pens that uses these cartridges replaced on pen when I reviewed it and said it was dysfunctional. I owe her an apology, it's these terrible cartridges.

Fountain pens are old school but bring a certain elegance to writing. I found a couple of old pens and used these refills to put them back in service.

These were supposed to be standard size ink cartridges for my pens but they didn't even fit, so disappointing.😒

Doesn't lock into place for any of my pens (I have a Kaweco sport, Kaweco Perkeo, & a Sheaffer Pop pen). Doesn't click into place and ends up leaking everywhere. I've tried a few times thinking it was maybe just one cartridge or pen that was the issue, but no luck. NOT a universal fit.

I love the pen but have had issues with the cartridges sliding around. One even came loose causing the ink to leak inside the barrel. Cleaning that up was a real pain. I'm trying again, thinking I didn't get it seated correctly. Price was good and I like that there were black and blue cartridges.

While searching for the perfect ink cartridge for my new fountain pen. This product said it was the perfect one but it was not. As a matter of fact it was way smaller than expected and didn't fit with my standard fountain pen. I regret buying this product and strongly suggest you don't.
