Great Kilt Belt for the price!
This is a lovely piece of work (well, it will be after it breaks-in properly), but there are very minor Issues.Don't get me wrong, it looks GREAT on it's face -the embossing is VERY well-done; nice and crisp- but the inside is a minor disaster-in-waiting for anyone lacking the most basic of Leather-Working Skills. Anchor Rivets look to be some sort of plastic, but the stitching looks very solid, though not close enough to the edge to keep the Velcro from curling up at the edge.It looks like this belt will hold together for a good 6-8mos (of heavy-ish wear) before starting to fall apart, but anyone who has the most basic Skills can repair/improve it with about 15-20min of work when that time comes. After said Repairs, this belt will likely serve you well for years!5 Stars minus 1 for these easily-fixed issues.

Decent cheap belt
You get what you pay for, in this case you get more than what you pay for. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of a $20 belt. I needed one for the weekend and counted on Amazon's 2day delivery. This belt is by far not the best quality leather or tooling you will find but for the money it can't be beat. If you have trouble with the sizing, literally put a tape around your waist and use that measurement, why make it complicated with pant sizes that vary from manufacture to manufacture. Personally I wish everyone used a real measurement as apposed to these made up sizes where with one brand I'm a 32 and another 36 or even womens sizes (they make no sense!) but that's a rant for another day. If you need an inexpensive belt for your kilt this will certainly do the job. I will say I took off a star because it says "real leather" but does not tell you what kind. I'm sorry but leather can be used for cow, steer, deer, goat, llama, you name it! More than likely it's cow hide but there is always the chance this manufacture got a great deal on coyote leather...

Good looking and affordable
Affordable and good looking. Go ahead and buy multiple belts and buckles these kilt belts are inexpensive and good quality and still look great. I have one in the plain finish I wear with a utility kilt that gets dirty, sweaty, and beat up while working outdoors abd still holds up. You can pay more for finer leather but if its too expensive to wear except for the rare formal occasion then you need a few of these!

Ok belt for the money.
For the money it’s not a terrible belt. However, as one reviewer pointed out, the embossing is upside-down. The Trinity Knot should point up, but with many buckles that have a distinct top and bottom, they will be pointing down. If you use a symmetrical buckle like I have, you can flip the belt around so the knots point up and it would be ok. Not so with an asymmetrical buckle. The only other thing is the leather is very stiff. It will take some breaking in, but this is not unusual with kilt belts. It’s also just a tad tight getting through my buckle, but it works. I do like the fact it uses Velcro instead of an inside strap and buckle that could snag the kilt.

Good value belt, but quality control issue with the imprinting
Usually love AAR products. I've purchased a few different belt buckles and kilt pins from them before without issue. However, this belt was a let down as there was an issue with the sizing and the actual imprinted pattern. I've worn kilts for a while now, so I know where to measure properly. Not sure if the one I received had been mispackaged, but it was definitely not the right size as ordered. As far as the imprinting, the long strips of knotwork look fine, but the circles in between the strips were horribly off centered (see images). The belt material itself is fine and a good value for the price, but if you are ordering anything more than a plain leather band, one would expect the trim/imprint to be paid attention to.

sizing
Beware, the Medium will not fit 40 inches, if you need a 40 inch size you need to order the large one. You might get away with this size for a 38 inch. My husband is a 35 inch kilt size and this belt didn't have much fold over to Velcro like it is supposed to. Also, the fold to attach the buckle does not form well, I actually stepped on this to get a flat fold and it still didn't fold well. The quality is not good (very thin and stiff) and I don't expect it to last long, but it got him thru the event we needed it for. Hope this helps. :-)

Too Small
I'll have to lose a couple of inches to make this belt fit properly. Way to small for the size I ordered. Has velcro, but even then, when I put it on it would not reach the velcro part. Hopefully the buckle will hold it together.

Five Stars
Remember to measure just below the belly button It make all the difference for sizing

Disapointing
Leather feels cheap in hand, arrived folded in 4 and the curve was hard to get out of the leather (still not completely gone a month later) The velcro holds but it's hard to get the belt to take a fold you want and creates an odd bump at the front. I'm disapointed with this product.
