Clever product, but needs extension cable
The SoleMix is a great addition to your JamHub, and frees your fellow musicians to hear exactly what they want to hear. I have maxed out my JamHub with four of these, and I only have one beef with it: the cable is too short, and extension cables are not readily available. This uses a cable using "Displayport" connectors - and you will need a male-to-female extension cable. First of all, anyone you call upon to assist you with finding this no-longer standard cable, say at Fry's, will try to sell you a mini-displayport cable, which is not compatible. I know, there is at least one provider of supposedly compatible cords, StarTech, but you will find that the plug casing is too wide to work with the JamHub if you have a cable plugged into the neighboring SoleMix remote connection. The answer is to take a razor blade or box cutter to the plug casing, but I have ruined one of these $23 cables doing this - so do it knowing the hazard involved. Also, the maximum length I have seen is 6 ft., which for me is barely enough to get it to reach across the studio. My drummer's SoleMix has to sit on the floor under his tom, because that's as far as the extension can reach. You may see on the JamHub support forums their engineers warning of radio interference resulting from extending the SoleMix cable, but I have not encountered such, and I have four SoleMixes extended 6ft each.

Much better than walking!
I've had a Jamhub for a while, but got tired of having to either leave the keyboard or the drum kit to go tweak the levels. With the remote I no longer have to walk, tweak, hope, and repeat. This is a must have accessory for anyone who is using a jamhub and playss an instrument that is rooted in one spot. Very handy!

Great concept but poor materials.
The Jamhub concept is great and use it several times a week. Unfortunately the potentiometers that control the volumes are only rated for 30 turns before they wear out and either start making scratching sounds in your headphone when you move them, or fail altogether. Jamhub is willing to sell the replacement potentiometers but as a USA citizen, they will not sell to Americans, or ship to the USA. I would pay good money right now to have replacement parts to repair my remotes because they cost an arm and a leg. The broken remotes are under warranty, but Jamhub wont honor it because I bought them on Amazon and Ebay.

If You Have A JamHub, Buy A Couple Of SoleMix Remotes
I have two of these, that came with my JamHub TourBus model. When we practice, our bass player usually brings his remote, he has a Greenroom at home. These mixers really help everyone get a perfect mix. You don't have to get up an walk over to the JamHub to turn down the drums or guitar, you just turn the knob for that channel on the remote. It is a simple and effective way to get a great headphone mix during band practice. You can also use the JamHub during recording sessions, just like a headphone mixer.
