With 4 kids I like to keep these types of kits in stock at home to help figure out if we are going to the doctors office. This was the only brand available this year, from a company I’ve never heard of. The two tests I’ve run thus far have been negative but the positive calibration solution definitely registered a positive on a test strip- so hopefully they are ok.

We use blueberry pediatrics and they recommended that that we have these on hand if we suspect strep. Not long after ordering my 8 year old had a sore throat. I wouldn’t have brought him to the dr because he already had a cold and I didn’t think strep, but since I had them on hand I did a test. Sure enough it was strep! I even did another to make sure and they were both positive! Just be careful you don’t pull off the dropper lid like I did and spill it all over!

With 3 small boys and one recent bout of strep for all of us, it gets expensive going to the dr just to check if it’s strep and hope you timed it right so it’s accurate. It took a few tries for me to figure out bc instructions are lacking but once you figure them out these really do work. Tips: swirl the q tip around 10x, then squeeze as shown for one minute. Then dip your strip into the liquid for 10 mins as opposed to just dipping it then laying it down for 10 mins like I thought.Tonight, my 7 year old was complaining he didn’t feel great so I checked. Sure enough he is positive while the rest of the house has tested negative!

We got this package to have along with our blueberry pediatrics and we had it as a “just in case” and finally needed to use it 2 months after purchasing and the “solution A” making all the rest of the tests unusable. Waiting 60$ for a kit I can’t use anything else of. Can we just get solution a so we can use the rest of them?

I was able to do a swab at home and find out that I had strep over a day before my doctors test came back. Pretty amazing. This kit is definitely meant for hospitals and clinics, so you need to follow instructions closely, but it isn't overly complicated. Really nice thing to have at home!

One of my children had strep, days after I got a sore throat and suspected myself. I used these tests and it said positive. They work.

Simple to use with only an and b components. Positive results occurred 3-4 days after exposure. Great tool to have on hand and also to verify infection has been treated.
