This adapter did not work at all plugs in but is not even turning on my reader no instructions or not saying where you plug that cable jack waste of time and money

Quality Construction, connectivity...
The build quality of this cable is surprisingly high at least. As for connectivity - I purchased this to use the 12 pin plug side as a connector in making a data logging cable for my 1990 Talon. I decided to try connecting it to the car before cutting it and to my surprise it actually established a connection with the car. Unsurprisingly it failed to read the ECU, however, I did not buy it for that purpose so I wasn't expecting it to do so. FYI, this needs an external power supply to power on the OBDii. What voltage, I don't know but I connected a 12v PSU and my phone was able to connect to the scanner. What I really need now is a wiring diagram colour coding for the pinout
