It is very sharp and comes apart easily to clean. The gard id handy as it is very sharp. I have had it a few months and really like it.

I bought this after my OXO pizza wheel broke. I admit I was stymied about how to clean it after I used it once. But I recalled the description stated it was easy to clean and the parts were detachable. So today, before I cut anything, I looked up the reviews. Then I watched 2 of the videos, and a light went off. It does come apart, contrary to many reviews that stated otherwise.I took mine apart and I have pictures of the parts above. The second picture shows the inside of the handle, with the fastener on one side. The other side has another one. The third picture shows the blade with one side of the fastener that anchors both the handle and guard. The last picture was taken after I put it back together.Please keep reading if you’re having trouble getting it apart. Maybe my description will help you.It’s just a matter of adjusting expectations. My OXO had a hinge and the guard just pulled off. Here, one has 2 structures surrounding the blade: the handle and the guard. The handle comes off by being pulled off. I found this easiest with the guard closed. Slightly pull that part outward at the edge. The blade and guard will be released from the handle and will come out. Then click open the guard: it has a hinge. The blade is now free of hardware surrounding it.It can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher then. When putting together again, put the guard on first so when the rest of it is attached, the guard and the blade will both be fastened and functional.If you are still uncertain how to do this, please watch one or two of the videos attached to this page. They start by showing how to use the cutter, but a little farther in, they show how to disassemble it for cleaning. It could have been easier to take apart, but it’s just a matter of learning how to do it.I like the cutter. It’s sharp, but has a guard to protect fingers.Disassembly could be easier, and given the great number of reviewers who truly believe it can’t be taken apart, I think the manufacturer should enclose instructions with every one they sell. It can’t help your sales if general perception is that it’s hard to clean.

Works wonderful. It is sharp, easy to use, and easy to clean. Also, nice and compact so it doesn't take up a ton of room in the drawer.

I tried… really tried. I had to throw it out because I could never get the thing open to clean it. Squeeze/pull etc. I nearly cut myself a bunch of times.

Let’s you feel in control. Very well made. Covers for safety. Comes apart for easy cleaning. Great stocking stuffer.

It is a great pizza cutter. It always cuts pastry sheets like “butta”. Get one and you won’t be disappointed
