If my cooler isn't used for a bit, it can get that dirty aquarium smell for the first 20 -30 minutes of use, which can be nauseating. This tab reduces that to just a couple of minutes or no smell at all. I live in the desert, and the winter days can get surprisingly warm, so I'm going to keep a couple on hand for those months when it isn't necessary to run daily. The tab is easy to use. Just place it near the water inlet to treat all the water coming into the well, or near the pump to quickly treat any water being pumped onto the pads. If you get that fishy smell from your EVAP, try one and see if this helps. I've tried some smaller ones from the hardware store, and they didn't do a thing. This one does.

Great for eliminating odor from my old swamp cooler. I ordered this year's a little late and I sure did smell the difference right away. there is no odor at all when I use these tabs and they last all season long. Couldn't be easier to use- you just plunk it right in there. Very happy with this product.

Seem to work as well as larger blocks

I use these in our evaporative cooler to prevent mineral buildup and keep it running clean through the summer. They are easy to drop in and they really do cut down on the scale and crusty deposits that used to clog up the pads and water lines. Our cooler runs more efficiently and the water stays fresher between cleanings. A cheap, simple way to extend the life of the unit and avoid hard water gunk. We will keep buying these every season.

No Oder in tank.

I didn't see any improvement on smell. But I can tell you it amplified the scale build up everywhere. I have white build up everywhere even on the exterior screw heads. Not using again.

Works good.. Takes a day or so to get full effect but stops the smell perfectly after that
