The stability is solid. The length of the grip surface is more than enough. I have Fischer 191 stiff skate skis. This means I likely have the steepest camber of any ski. I had to change the round ends to be mounted on the underside as was mentioned in another review. I also had to shim the tip end with four washers and cut 3/8" off the middle binding loops. At this price, it was worth making these minor adjustments versus paying $200 more for a more name brand table and profiles. It is light and folds easy for portability.

This waxing bench is excellent! I'm very happy with it. It's all proper gauge steel and solidly constructed. It folds up pretty well for such a thing which is nice since there's probably a whole season you won't be needed it. One problem I had is that the angles of the profiles seemed much too steep to me. I simply unbolted (13mm wrench) the ends of them and moved them to the _underside_ of the bar. That laid down the angle and all my skis lay on it quite nicely now without too much tension on the binding. The whole thing is sturdy and I really love having both skis up at the same time. I can't imagine doing this job one ski at a time now. With two skis you can work on the other one while the first cools taking turns but always given them equal operations. I'm glad I bought it!

I'm still new to Nordic skiing and this is my first waxing station (and probably my last). It is very light and easy to use. It sets up in minutes and you can easily adjust the skids for different size skis. You can mount two skis at a time and they stay firmly in place. When you are done you can fold the legs and move it for easy storage. If you had to buy both a waxing bench and a ski vice kit you would pay way more than you will for this outfit. I give it two thumbs up and five stars!
