A few months ago…my sump pump system with an alarm warning failed on my family when we needed it the most. We had a huge storm and the power went out. We had no warning that the battery was bad. After an hour 1/2 of bailing water from my sump…I knew right then that I needed to make sure my battery on my sump pump was truly reliable from then on.After reading reviews I saw this might work for us.What I like is that it was easy to install and I can quickly assess how much draw is put on my battery when I have no power. It ready that I dropped to 94% after one attempt. As I test this over the next few months, I will be able to assess the change. At 6 months I will truly test it.What do I do?In about 6 months…I will use this battery tester to assess my battery’s effectiveness after being used as my main backup system on a rainy evening. I will let it assess the life of my battery over an extended amount of time. My battery is supposed to last at least 8 hours..so we will see how effective it is after an hour or two.Overall, this device makes the assessment of my battery possible. I look forward to collecting data to better understand how efficient and effective my sump pump battery is overtime. This way, I can limit surprises and lessen my stress when I need my battery back up sump pump system the most. Thank you!!!!Only Suggestion…I would liked to have had some 3M tape or something like it to attach it to something. BUT, that request has no effect on its quality or effectiveness. A+ overall! I bought this to replace an inaccurate volt meter. It does the job, but the battery wires are a little too short.

Was disappointed in Supnova’s display and lack of accuracy so got this Drok one as I will have two batteries to monitor at once anyway. In the picture, the bottom one looks easier to read but it has to be eye level to read it. The Drok is much easier to read from an angle and has a thermometer display too so you know if the air temp is too low to run a charge. As others have said, the instructions aren’t great but are better than Supnova. Big drawback was the length of the pos/neg wire as they are only one foot long so you will probably need to splice. Also, you have to be spot on with your cuts to mount this thing as there is no overlying edge to cover any errant jigsaw cuts. As you can see, I used a piece of material behind mine to cover up a small gap that I left.

Was a little surprised at how small it is. Also the temp wire is a bit short so it had to be mounted very close to the battery but otherwise it works perfect.
