This is a wonderful product. Even better than I thought. It not only catches the crumbs and makes it easy to make perfect, straight and even cuts... but especially for really fresh, (softer) bread, the rails support the bread as you cut it and keeps it from 'squishing' (which even with a great bread knife, it still tends to squish a bit)... so you get perfect pieces, every time. Really awesome. I would recommend this to anyone who loves fresh sliced bread!

The slicing guide is ok, but you cannot adjust the thickness of the slice, unless you move the bread up or back. There is no "wall" to set the bread up against to keep it steady. One of the guides began to split already, I glued it back together. I think it's ok, but I am looking for a different one.

The bamboo was splintering even before I used it and when you cut the bread you cut the bamboo as well causing more splintering. You get what you pay for in this case. I threw it out after the first use.

This started splintering the first time I used it and the slicing guides do not stay in place because they the fit isn’t snug. Since they don’t fit snug I ended up cutting my finger and proceeded to bleed for a good 15 minutes. Would NOT recommend.

I really was looking for bagel cutter since I'm always afraid I'm going to cut myself slicing them. Most were overpriced or low quality and not multifunction. This one works perfect for bagels but i also use it for the french bread loaves I use reqularly. Comes apart for cleaning and easy storage plus the price was very good.

Just like the one I had for the last 40 years...so I bought this for my daughter to have. She loves it!

Needs to be a little larger with smaller slats to use for cutting bread.
