it’s a comfortable shirt but uh yeah i ordered two and received one

color was wrong should have been safety orange picture that was given had two confusing images also was not tagless as advertized

I bought several 5586 tagless shirts on Amazon a few years back and they were/are 1) tagless, and 2) a softer, more comfortable material. This shirt has two tags sewn onto the neck. Why? It's not the same 5586 shirt as previously, Hanes simply kept the numerical designation. Makes no sense.The shirt fits as expected; material is stiffer than my older 5586s and not as warm, though I just received it, washed it right away and tried it on. Those older shirts were more comfortable and warmer out of the bag. It's possible that this shirt will wear in and improve. For now, I will look around at the alternatives in 100% cotton long sleeve tees.

I've purchased this style of Hanes shirt before and when the description says tagless, the Hanes "tag" is discreetly screen printed in the shirt (See photo: previously purchased shirt tag on the top, the shirt from this order below it). While the shirt is what I wanted and fits as expected, it isn't actually "tagless" as described and the weight "feels" lighter than the previously purchased shirt (I have not objective measure of the weight of the material). Overall, still a nice shirt and would buy it again. Excellent color choices too!

I bought three t-shirts to compare: Fruit Of The Loom 5.6 oz Heavy Cotton Long Sleeve T-Shirt 4930, Hanes Adult Tagless Long Sleeve Tee and the Gildan Men's G240 Ultra Cotton Long Sleeve T-Shirt. Here's what I found:So that you can judge how the fit I describe will translate to you, I am 6'1", weigh 190lbs, and I wear a 35" dress-shirt sleeve. I bought the "large" size in all three shirts.I like all three of the shirts for quality and comfort, with small difference in each that may make a difference for you.Fruit of the Loom - I bought black, and it's definitely black. The fabric is the heaviest (thick but also a little stiff) of all three shirts. It fits like an Under Armour shirt, which is to say athletic -- the sleeves are tight and it's fitted in the chest. The sleeves are long enough to reach my wrists without pulling up.Hanes Adult Tagless Long Sleeve Tee (this shirt) - the black is a little on the Navy Blue side. The fabric is lighter, but not thin, and soft. There is a little extra room through the body and sleeves; it feels fitted, but not tight. The sleeves are long enough to reach my wrists without pulling up.Gildan Men's G240 Ultra Cotton Long Sleeve T-Shirt - I bought "Heather" and was surprised that it was slightly blue; I was expecting grey. The fabric is similar to the Hanes -- light and soft. There is a little extra fabric around the middle, but it's not a tent. The sleeves are long enough to reach my wrists without pulling up. I hesitated buying this unfamiliar brand until I realized that a shirt I've been wearing for about 6 years was a Gildan. It's held up very well, so I tried this one.

I searched for "Tagless", I read "Tagless", however the shirt has a "tag". I hate tags.

Excellent long-sleeve tee shirt from Hanes in many colors. I've always been a size medium, bought this tee in size medium and it shrunk a huge amount in the washing machine (warm water) and dryer (low temperture). So I just bought the same thing in large size and one washing has made it OK for me. 100% cotton.

While I'm waiting for the next two I ordered a couple of days ago, I'll enter this product review.I notice that some reviewers claim these are supposedly ~not~ preshrunk. The imprint (where the tag would ordinarily be located) says they are manufactured from preshrunk cotton. My experience with the first two shirts I ordered is this: (1) no discernible shrinkage when they come wet out of the washer, but I can't say further because I don't put on wet t-shirts right out of the washer!. (2) There was minor shrinkage when they came out of the dryer, BUT (3) when donned again, they quickly stretched out to their pre-washing dimensions.I recently read a fabric testing lab's report on cotten t-shirts which confirms my own observations above. In particular, they found t-shirt shrinkage to be greatest (whether preshrunk or not) from neck to bottom hem, much less so from side to side. They found this to be true from washing to washing, even for those t-shirts which had already been shrunk. They also reported the "stretch back" phenomenon noted above. They put the "blame" for this phenomenon on dryers, not on washers.My guess is that if these shirts were air-dried on a hanger there would be almost no shrinkage at all. In any event, whatever shrinkage I've noticed disappeared within an hour of wearing.I purchased two of these for every day indoor wear around the house. After testing them (including the washing/drying described above), I find them a fantastic buy for my purposes. So, I've order two more so I'll have four in different colors (black, red, forest green, blue).I'm wearing these during the winter, when the house tends to be a tad drafty. I wear a conventional v-neck t-shirt ~under~ these Hanes long-sleeve shirts. The Hanes shirts in my size (XL) are roomy enough to ride over the v-neck t-shirt without binding, even after the washing. This affords me an extra layer that comes in handy on those drafty days. On really cold days I add a down vest and I'm totally toasty.

Fit well (6'2" and slim, ordered a medium). Shrunk very easily in the wash (cold wash with a medium dry). I would also note that it is hard to get the wrinkles out after washing. I used this as part of a halloween costume and had to steam it lightly before wearing.

Nice jersey or long sleeved tee. Material wasn't as soft as I expected but still comfortable and nice looking. Fit is a little snug but okay with my build, I have fairly wide shoulders.

Well known make , good product. Wish it had a pocket.

A good shirt for cooler mornings :)
