2.5mm DC Power Jack Socket, Panel Mount DC Power Jack Socket Female Panel Mounting Connector 10Pcs

I ordered these DC power jacks for a project where I didn’t have a lot of space. They worked flawlessly and are high quality. Fast shipping with next day delivery. Plus there are 20 of them. That’s more than enough for all the future projects I haven’t dreamed up!

At first it took some time to find this part. The DC power socket on one of our LED camera lights from Dracast corroded away. Most likely from overtime use and salt from the beach air. I called them and they dont see these components so I had to scourer the internet to find it. Found it on Alibaba but didn't want to pay that and wait a while for it to arrive overseas.Amazon had it. Took one out and soldered the cables. Screwed it in and viola! my LED Dracast is back in action again. Solid build and great part for what it is needed to do.

I have bought 2 packs. I have had 3 that did not work but the rest work great.

The part is excellent, but I don’t like the fact that I had to pay for 10 to get the single one I needed.

The center pin is thicker that I thought. You might want to get the smaller center pin as it will work with more power supplies.

The jacks were not as smooth or polished as I have seen before. The real problem is the length of the center pin, it is too long and thus projects to close to the negative sleeve opening. This allows shorting to occur. This will not be a real concern when using in low amperage situations.

Power jack that allowed me to make a battery powered lamp into one powered by a DC power supply. Save's money and allowed me to gang lights together to be switched on remotely. The built in switch allowed the option of using the light in its original (battery powered) mode.

Might be just this batch but everyone of them the center positive post is too large to use with a standard 2.5 connector
