Game-changing device
Love this camera. I wouldn't get it for video quality alone, especially in low light conditions, but with a battery pack it can record all day long, and the wide angle combined with head-mounting means it can capture extended chunks of life exactly as they happened. The ability to dynamically set the quality makes it possible to choose how to trade off resolution/frame rate vs. storage space, and with a 256 GB SD card you can get dozens of hours at reasonable quality. I haven't put it to the test in any really extreme conditions, but it seems sturdy enough and wasn't harmed by rain or cold. All in all, for my life logging needs, it's all I was hoping for and more.

Useless piece of junk
Don’t buy this camera it’s very bad value even for $50The picture quality is terribleThe application that goes with the camera is very basicTook me a long time together togetherheadband is very flimsyDump attention to all the colorful advertising because it’s really a useless piece of junkI was very disappointedThe audio quality is quite good, so maybe it could be used as a tape recorder

Easy to use but unfair marketing
I like the product. However, the promo video included the remote. So I was disappointed when it wasn’t in there. Then I tried customer support and it takes you to a website that is hard to navigate. I would really like the remote. Can someone help?

Great 4k video and audio; excellent for my ‘Point-of-View’ video review segments
Item: Ordro EP-8 Point of View 4K Video CameraPrice: $256.00 with vendor’s $14 discount coupon - (reviewed 09 28 22)My excitement using this particular ‘POV’ camera centers on my now being able to easily record hands-on demo segments for my Amazon reviews. Previously, I’d done all of my ‘outside of the office-studio area’ work using an Android smartphone’s camera, mounted on a heavy duty roll-around tripod system. It’s a good setup, and easy to reposition. But trying to position the camera for ‘hands on’ reviews was tough. It’s very hard to get ‘right in there…’ so to speak, when you’re operating a review item, or demonstrating a DIY procedure. The Ordro EP-8 basically sees what I see, and allows you, the viewer, to feel like you’re the one performing the activity. And not only is it optimally positional, the Ordro records a true 4K quality video with good audio. And for me, I’m now able to edit in these ‘Ordro POV’ segments in 4k (set to 3840 x 2160 @ 60-fps), which matches my studio recordings from my mirrorless 4K camera. Bottom line, this is a very valuable ‘working tool.’About the ease of use………The Ordro, right out of the box, and with quick reference to the user’s manual, was recording with a few minutes. So let me walk you through a quick-setup. Firstly, all audio is from the center of the brass-threaded mounting stud that connects to the head band. While low volume, if near your ear or wearing the head-band, you’ll hear it; but it’s not a conventional speaker. It’s definitely a loud headphone-type annunciator.• Charge the camera using the supplied ‘high-capacity’ QS cable provided• When the RED charge light goes GREEN, you’re charged• But you can also ‘power-on’ and ‘use the camera’ during the charge function• ------------ How to connect the app – There are voice prompts ---------• The user’s manual has the app name and info… download it• Power on the camera by pushing-holding the power button• Insert your microSD card, contacts facing outward• The earphone will prompt you to push PHOTO button to format the card• To activate the camera’s WiFi transmit signal, tap the power buttonYou can also shut off the Wifi by again tapping the power button• Go to your WiFi available networks. The cam appears as ‘EP-8…..’• Select that as your WiFi source (the pass is numbers 1 thru 8)• Go to the app… select CONNECTING DEVICE, the monitor comes upWhen you’re in the app you can go to the GEAR ICON top left and do your settings. I selected the highest 4K 60fps video and highest 20M photo resolution. Through the app you can download files that you choose, and send them from card to your photo-gallery. I’ve done it all, from removing the card and connecting to my computer for a quick download, to connecting the camera to my computer for use as a 4k camera. I’ve also direct connected the camera via the microHDMI port on the back end directly to my 42” desk monitor. You can see the video and hear the audio real–time. For whatever might come up when you want to see or transfer the output directly from your Ordro EP-8 to any device, I’d highly recommend you have a male-microHDMI to male-HDMI cable, 6-ft to 10-ft. And consider also a male-microHDMI to female-HDMI short adapter cable.Overall, I highly recommend this 4K POV camera. For me it’s a working tool for my Amazon reviews. But I’d add that it also makes for a great ‘evidence’ recorder when a body-cam might be a bit obvious and intimidating. I’ve used both and like the more friendly POV unit if recording an interaction. But regardless of how you use it, you’ll like the versatility of this head-band camera. It’s definitely a 5-star item for me.

App Doesn’t Connect At All - Defective Product
I own the EP7 and found that while the quality wasn’t the best it did afford an interesting alternative angle for my projects. After some editing in post the video could be used effectively. When I saw the EP8 was out I did my research. After seeing some videos touting the improved video quality I hurried up and bought one.The product I received looked great but when it came to shooting there was nothing but problems.First, the app doesn’t seem to work with the device. Sure the wifi is able to connect to the phone but once you try to connect the app to the device the camera freezes and it requires a reset to turn it off. I recreated this error on three separate iPhone 14 Pro Maxes.I thought maybe I had a defective product so I arranged a replacement to be sent. Upon testing, the replacement unit resulted in the same errors.I tried updating the firmware on both units. No changes in the results.I also tried just shooting with the default settings. Big mistake. You don’t get 4k 60p by default. Its in a low resolution portrait mode.I’m extremely disappointed as I’m sticking with the lower quality EP7. At least that one works. If anyone knows any head mounted video camera alternatives I’m all ears.

High resolution, low sound quality.
Also, the app sucks and the battery life could be better with an extra hour..

It's a good camera it's just not good at stabilization or it's intended purpose
This camera is only suitable for capturing basic first-person videos of someone using their hands. However, it is not at all suitable for filming while walking or moving. The head mount provided with the camera is extremely cheap and awkward, and it doesn't consider a person's need for glasses. Moreover, it barely grips the head, making it more trouble than it's worth. It's important to note that this camera should not be used for activities such as biking or running as the footage will be so shaky and unwatchable that it's hardly worth the effort. It's unclear who this camera is marketed towards, but it's certainly not for anyone looking for quality footage while on the move.
