The Ghosts We Keep

I expected the book to be deeper after reading the premise and reviews and offer more insights into the mind and feelings of a trans person. The main characters were bland, we only knew they were trans because in one sentence the author told us that and in another they were offended by being called a dude or wrongly used pronouns. I liked the Marcus character, because he seemed real and kind but there was so little of him, it did not compensate for the very unlikeable protagonist.
