ADDENDUM: After looking closer to the problem I found the hole on the front of the PC to be too small for the base of the C-Plug. I took the cover off, filed the opening to a size that would allow the C-Plug to go all the way into the receptacle. Now the unit works on both my PC and laptop. And I've made sure the connection was good by reading the SD, QXD, and CF Express B cards. Also wrote to and formatted a couple. No problems encountered. I've updated my rating to 5 stars. OLD: The C plug will plug into my laptop without a problem. But it will NOT work on my PC. It's about a MM to shallow to go all the way into the C receptacle on my HP computer. The only reason I'm not returning it is because it does plug into my laptop without a problem. I'll either have to get a USB to C card for the PC or some type of USB to C adapter.

Getting extremely hot after couple of minutes

As i said this product works really well and very quick with one small but..... It does NOT have a USB-C - USB-A adaptor with it, which meant i could not use it immediately, rather i had to go and buy an adaptor. It would be great to make a really good product even better...
