I purchased this to keep my colored ginger hair fresh longer and it does not disappoint. My hair is bright, shiny and soft every day. I don't use the conditioner daily. Maybe two or three times a week and that seems to work just fine. My only complaint is that the conditioner is super think and the bottle is relatively hard to squeeze so once you've gotten about halfway through the bottle it gets harder and harder to squeeze it out. But that's no big deal. It would be much better if it came with a pump. Either way, the product is amazing and I would highly recommend it.

First time buying oVertone color deposit conditioner to refresh my color (used oVertone purple for brown) and I’m very pleased!Advice: Wear gloves to prevent coloring hands and nails. Lightly apply to visible new growth or faded edges at hairline and part using an applicator brush (toothbrush would work) before using smallest amount needed to spread throughout freshly washed hair. (I step out of shower to apply with brush so I can use mirror.)Wash and rinse hair using COLD water to help color last longer.Use a towel that matches your color or one you don’t care about. Plan to clean drips or spots immediately to prevent staining on your face or body and tile, walls, floors, etc.

After reading some reviews and the overtone website I came to this method; I wash my hair like normal, cool water and shampoo only. I let it air dry then apply throughly and put a grocery bag over it. sit for 30-40 minutes (it's a deep conditioner and wont ever hurt for being on this long- only salon softness afterwards!) their website suggests hot water to rinse to help open cuticles, I don't ever ever use hot water on my hair..but I rinse with warm water while massaging a squirt of red preserving conditioner through it. and look how BRIGHT RED MY HAIR IS!! no bleach. amazing, favorite salon hack ever!!!

I usually color my hair in a red copper color (not made by Overtone) which are shades of red and orange mixed together in permanent dye. I bought this copper conditioner to freshen it up in between colorings without damage. The conditioner does as it’s intended, and deposited more copper into my hair, but more of an orange shade. It definitely looks fresher and is very soft, but I would have liked to see just a hint of red be added back in. I applied as directed and left on about 5 minutes in the shower. My hair feels really really soft and smells minty. I don’t mind the scent that much & I’ll probably buy the red conditioner to mix with this copper for the shade I want for next time. It’s also very hard to squeeze the bottle once your gloves go on. I recommend squeezing the amount you want out first into a cup and then putting on your gloves to apply.

I have been coloring my hair for a very long time and even worked at a cosmetology school. This Overtone daily color conditioner does its job. I recently colored my hair purple and as these fantasy colors do, it faded fast. I bought this conditioner and It has helped bring back my vibrant purple color. It does stain my hands SLIGHTLY when I apply it. But by the time I'm done showering my hands are pretty much back to normal. If not usually an hour later the rest has faded from my hands. It has never stained my shower or anything else for that matter. I would definitely recommend this product if you're looking to make your color last longer.
