Because Your Daddy Loves You

I got this book as part of a father's day gift from our toddler to her daddy. The story is cute and appropriate in our case. (There is one page that talks about when you lose your shoe your daddy could say why didn't you put it where you could find it but instead he searches through the house for it. Replace shoe with car keys and daughter with wife - and that is my husband's life!).There is no mom in any of the illustrations or plot line. This book is JUST dad and daughter so it may be a nice buy for a divorced/single dad since I see so many books that gear towards mom and dad in the picture. Or it could just be a father/daughter outing too. Just something I noticed.All in all a nice book about a father/daughter's day where the dad is patient and loving despite the daughter making a few mistakes.

Cute book! When we read this to my baby girl she likes to grab the pages. Since they aren't sturdy she was able to tear a few pages thats why I didn't give it 5 stars.

Our 3 years old daughter loves this book! She identifies herself with the girl from the book and with enthusiasm reads the pictures. The only question she had was “Where is Mommy?” when looking at the picture with father and daughter going to the seaside ☺️

Had to write a review to boost the rating on this wonderfully illustrated book!The story is just okay, but the artwork puts it over the top!Since 1.5 years of age, our daughter has insisted her daddy read her this book. We found it in the library (like another reviewer) and after checking it out several times had to find a copy for our home library. Illustrations are great and the little girl looks just like ours, so she was able to instantly relate. Also, gave my hubby some points to ponder as to how he would react in some of those circumstances -- a definite plus!

I love the illustrations and the sweet daddy in the story. However, I bought it for my husband for Father's Day last year and he thought, at first, that I might be trying to hint to him that he needs to be more like the dad in the story. That wasn't the case, and he did end up liking the book. But the book is a bit sanctimonious about the proper way for a daddy to behave, and I can see how anyone who isn't a saint could be left feeling like the book is a subtle lecture.

This Daddy is a wonderful one! I am sure, my son is meant! (Last sentence is a joke, nevertheless he really could be it!)He has so much love, so much empathy, so much patience, spend so much time with his daughter (could be a son too), is a tender and gentle consoler in each grief, anxiousness or disappointment! This all is shown in very pretty sensitive painted pictures which are a pleasure to look at.

This book arrived quickly and was in perfect shape. I would definately order from Amazon again. I could not find this book at any local book store, but I knew that Amazon would find it for me and I would receive exactly what was described. I like theratings of the sellers and the choices I have for the books. Sometimes I choose a used and sometimes a new. This was a Christmas Present for my son.

I bought this book for my husband to read to our daughter. Its a sweet book which talks about a dad being patient with his daughter when he could very well be impatient. I personally didn't quite understand the objective of this book, but it does have a lot of nice pictures that you can point out to a toddler to ask them questions and keep them engaged. The format is paperback and the quality of the paper is good. A nice book for daddy daughter time.
