They run hot. I just adjust the lamp to accommodate. Price is much better than the pet store.

Feeling the warmth

Great Bulbs but WARNING: Be Aware that Amazon May Charge you $7.99 for Returns
I like ZooMed bulbs. There's nothing wrong with them, and I use them in different styles and wattages for my reptiles ranging from a monkey-tailed skink to bearded dragons. In the future, however, I will buy these bulbs when I travel to a local city. The reason for this is, if a bulb is broken during shipping from Amazon, THE BUYER is now going to have to get the return package to the UPS store or a drop-off OR pay $7.99 (yep!) for the box to be picked up. It's okay for a person who lives near an UPS drop-off. (There's supposed to be a box about 3-4 miles from our house, I found out.) BUT this is NOT free return shipping, and people need to know about it beforehand. This policy is probably to offset shipping charges, but when I have to pay $8 to return something broken in the mail, that negates my savings shopping with Amazon. Your mileage may vary. Just be aware.

Great price
Just as cheap, if not cheaper, than the local retailer. Only issue at times is the products lifecycle, which can be cut short for a number of reasons that are hard to explain/pinpoint. Just contact Zoomed if that's the case; they are super helpful!

Great bulbs. Be wary of packaging
We have used Zoo Med basking lights for at least 10 years if not longer and rely on them to keep our turtles warm. These bulbs are long lasting and durable. We have these lights on a timer and they are on daily for 12hrs and they last a very long time aka I don’t buy replacements often. Unfortunately this order had one broken bulb in it but it has nothing to do with the quality of the product it was the fact that the seller provided poor packaging.
