The cable does not work. Specifically it will not fit any of 11 devices (which use optical digital audio cables already).
Yes the cable is attractive and looks well made. That being said I bought it to connect a fairly new LG set's audiol out to my (also fairly new) Onkyo receiver. The rub is that the cable will fit into neither of their sockets. So that COULD be the fault of the equipment, not the cable.HOWEVER, I have 11 devices (4 computers, 2 HDMI-to-DVIvideo+fiber-optic-digital-sound converters, 2 receivers, 2 bd players and 1 cd player) here which use fiber optic cable. I literally tried BOTH ends of this cable with every one of them. It is too large to fit into any of them. So I have no idea whether it works or not, and all I can say is that somewhere along the line, the QC from this manufacturer slipped up.Small update: A friend who knew about my experience with cable called me when he saw the review. Specifically he was calling to ask whether we had removed the plastic "covers" which go over the ends of the fiber optic cable (where it inserts into the matching port inside the connector female connector on the amp/receiver/computer/etc. Yes we did that and it made no difference.(The funny thing is that I had been worrying that the cable would be too loose to stay in the fiber optic socket/port. Sigh.)So I cannot and will not recommend this to anyone and I am returning it immediately.

This cable works perfectly for me.
When I came back from vacation, I discovered that my TV/DISH network/Yamaha high-end sound bar system wasn't working at all like it had before. After trial and error I got the TV/DISH part working fine -- but only with TV's own speaker. I did some internet searching for fixes, found this optical audio cable, and I now have the best sound ever from my system. I could not be happier with this cable or the small price I had to pay for it here.

Connected with good fit
Connected tv and Sonos to amp. Pulled thru wall very well. Good fit. I would buy again. I need one more. And will buy again. I wish they came in shorter length.

Nice cable.
Nice built cable. I used it on a Visio sound bar that had crackly sound. This cleared up the sound and is working great.
