Nice and attractive. Great bass. Speaking just from my very limited testing of compact cajons and cajon-inspired variants, the bass sound you get out of it is the best bass sound I've yet heard out of anything in that compact class of cajons and cajon-inspired instruments. It is little wonder that Sawtooth patented the bass filter. Good value and excellent choice for beginners. This is a great beginners cajon and perfect for everyone from dad to daughter and in between.The elephant was cheaper when we were shopping but I'm sure you can't go wrong with whatever design appeals to you most. Great product that the kids love!

I needed to add a kick pedal to my cajon. I found it cheaper to just purchase a standard kick pedal, a cajon mount and this cajon. This cajon is terrific. It sounds very good and is easy to find it's various sounds. I will note that I added a 12"x12" acoustic foam square to the inside bottom to improve it's low sound. I have taken this to gigs by itself and use it with my other cajon with the kick pedal setup. Either way it's a great drum and has a good sound. There's a velco strip inside to adjust the snares. I just slip the velcro adjuster under the snares and now the snares are no longer touching the drum face which, for a bass drum only cajon, is what I wanted. But, it's easy to put the snare action back in play.

This Cajon is the perfect size for my 5 year old. I think it has great sound quality (I’m not a percussionist, but do play several instruments). I think it’s a good bang for your buck.

Got it for my grandsons birthday. They are a very musical family so not only did my grandson like it but it’s a hit with the whole family.

The drum came with cracks on both sides. We would return this one and purchase another one since this is the perfect size for my son.

I bought this for my grandson's 7th birthday in the travel size. It was the perfect height. The quality of the woodwork & paint finish was excellent. It makes a wonderful sound & variation of tones depending on where & how you hit the face of the drum. You can use your hand or fingers. My husband also loved it & ordered an identical one for his 6 yr old grandson & is considering getting the larger size for himself. I didn't see any adjustable springs inside. I don't think it would even be necessary.I had read that some had adjustments. My grandson has played a similar drum accompanying songs at his church. He loves it. It would be wonderful for anyone young or old that enjoys music & likes to play along. No experience or lessons required!

A really great drum with plenty of base really powerful one . Snare is great and cymbal little ! That is what you will get .For the price is very hard to beat with this drum ! Love it !

The Cajon has excellent sound at its price range, although it is not made of Birch Wood.The only downside of this is that I received a cajon with chipped paint. If you look closely at the picture I uploaded, you'll see the paint will continue to chip away.
