Highly recommend this series for boys and girls of all ages!
Another wonderful, adventure filled book from E.D. Baker! My boys and girl love this series and can't wait for each subsequent book to come out. There is adventure, mystery, and fun with good moral codes and ques for the kids. It is a fun read at bedtime and we get to talk about what they think of each of the characters. It is a wonderful way to spend story time with our children and they are ages 12, 10, and 8 and all three of them love this series!

Great addition to the series!
4.5 out of 5 stars rounded upI've enjoyed the Tales of the Frog Princess series ever since I read them back shortly after they were first published so I was thrilled to hear that there was another book coming out in the series! The Frog Princess Returns doesn't disappoint! Fans of the series will love this latest story. While it didn't have that extra little pizzazz I need for a 5-star rating, it's a strong 4.5. There's intrigue, secrets, mystery, fairies, dragons, and adventure. What more could you want in a story? All of our favorite characters have returned and we've added a few new people, such as Princess Adara who's on a mission. The characters are well-developed, fun, and easy to like. The settings are magical with just enough descriptions that you can imagine them easily. The story line moves along at a decent pace and there's a twist in the end that even though I didn't necessarily like the character to begin with, I didn't see the twist coming! If you've read the series before now, this does not take place at the end of the series. This takes place earlier in the series. Emma and Eadric aren't married yet, but they've had some of their early adventures. I'd place it right around the time of book three. It's a great addition to the series and whether you're finding this series for the first time or are just excited about the new story, I highly recommend this one! So much fun!*** Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this title. I was not compensated for my review. All opinions and conclusions are my own. ***

Some Princesses just want to kiss frogs!
In The Frog Princess Returns, Princess Emma and the Frog Prince, Prince Eadric, are both human. They are engaged to be married and are very happy. Then one day, a princess from another land arrives in Prince Eadric’s family’s carriage. She claims to be Princess Emma’s long-lost cousin, but she won’t leave Prince Eadric’s side.Princess Emma hardly has time to react to this strange arrival when fairies begin appearing and asking for her help. With a little investigation, Princess Emma discovers that the Fairy Queen has disappeared. The fairies believe she has “faded away” (the fairy version of died), so three new fairies are competing to take her place.Princess Emma, Prince Eadric, the “long-lost cousin,” and a handful of fairies, set off on a search for the Fairy Queen. While she is interviewing dragons, flying a magic carpet, and outsmarting fairy magic to find the Fairy Queen, Princess Emma must still figure out what the “long-lost cousin” is really up to. It’s a busy couple of days. The book flew by (no pun intended) and was engaging and enjoyable from start to finish. We have never read any of the other books in this series, but we have read and enjoyed some of Ms. Baker’s other books, such as the Magic Animal Rescue Series. Jumping into the series at Book 9 was no problem. The book worked very well as a stand-alone story, and we did not ever feel lost or wish we had read the other books first. When Ms. Baker felt background was needed to explain (or remind readers) how Princess Emma met certain characters, she gave it in just a few sentences. I received an advance reader copy of The Frog Princess Returns in exchange for my unbiased review of the book.

Revisiting a much-loved series!
I absolutely loved reading E.D. Baker's The Frog Princess series when I was growing up. Those books were always so funny and full of magic, great for fans of Gail Carson Levine. I was over to moon to find out that, fifteen years after The Frog Princess was published, Emma and Eadric were getting a new story! And yes, even though I read the original books years ago and they're definitely intended for a much younger audience, I couldn't wait to revisit the magical world I'd grown up with! The Frog Princess Returns did not disappoint! Not at all. It had the same feel as the original, with a cast of silly but endearing characters, great lessons for young readers, and the charm that Baker has always filled her books with. And it was so great to be back in Emma's story again. The later books in the series follow some different characters, but The Frog Princess started out following Princess Emma and she was always the star of the show for me. Reading The Frog Princess Returns, it was like no time at all had passed and I was able to go back to a place that I didn't even realize I had been missing.I definitely recommend The Frog Princess Returns, as well as the first eight books in the series, to any middle-grade readers who love fantasy, and definitely to older readers who loved this series when they were younger!

Fun Middle Grade Fantasy
Emma and Eadric are adjusting to being true loves and planning their wedding when a couple of things get in their way.First, lovely Princess Adara arrives from Lower Muckworthy and tries to steal Eadric away from Emma.Second, the fairy queen has disappeared and those campaigning to be the new fairy queen are causing dissension among the fairies. Emma, Eadric, with tagalong Adara set off on an adventure to find the fairy queen and restore order to the fairies. They are also trying very hard to discourage Adara in her plans to steal Eadric away. This was a fun story filled with entertaining characters and situations. Fans of earlier books in the series will certainly enjoy this one too.
