So I bought this paddle holder for my kayak since I got tired of having to find somewhere to place my paddle whilst fishing. Haven't had the chance to try it on the water yet but trying it out in the garage I did notice that their a bit stiff and I'm having to rotate the paddle to get it to engage, and same upon release. Could be my paddle is slightly thicker or they just need to be worked in decently. But it seems to work for now.

These looked taller and more adjustable in the pictures. Really need the slots on top of the rail, not to the side. Outside totally unusable, inside I have to take the paddle apart to use it at all. Nucanoe so not an off brand. Slight modification and it would be perfect.

The threaded length of the mounting shoe is almost too short for the leading brand track I purchased to mount the paddle holder to. Another 1/8" of thread would make it feel not so marginal when it's tightened into the track. It works fine, just hope there's enough thread there to keep it from stripping out over time. Functionally, this is a solid mount for a paddle or pole.

Fantastic product. I wish I had purchased them earlier. I had a paddle strap but my paddle was always getting in the way. These extend the paddle slightly outside my kayak so it is not in the way. Very sturdy and my paddle fits tightly inside and I have no worries of it falling out. I just put them in the channel and it was ready for the paddle. Very pleased with the product!
