It works wonderfully
I just moved to CO and the ups and downs of the place are mind boggling, along with the views. Just for fun, to be able to know what your elevation at any time is awesome. Easy to use, just read the instructions, you have to adjust it because it uses the weather and pressure, when the weather or pressure changes, so does it, but I have found it to be extremely easy to use and accurate over long distances.

Seems like a good altimeter and barometer, not so good mounting
As a pilot, I’m very familiar with altimeters. This altimeter/barometer seems to work just like it should. The adjustment for the current barometer setting (the outer ring) is easy but not so easy that it will change itself. By mounting it where I did in my vehicle, it’s easy to read. The mount appears adequate to hold the device to the dashboard—it’s a soft pliable but very strong suction cup. Time will tell if it is adequate when driving, especially changing to higher elevations, where suction cup holders tend to fail. For the time being, it seems very strong. But I notice that others have complained that the magnet holding the device to the mount wasn’t strong enough. Apparently the manufacturer took note of those complaints and added a thin steel disc to the back of the device and glued it in place, but the glue softens in the heat of the sun, and instead of being able to pop the device off of the magnetic holder, it comes off of the steel disc, leaving the disc attached to the magnet. It’s not a reason for me to return the altimeter, but the manufacturer should use a different glue. That’s why I give the device 4 stars. The altimeter itself appears to be a 5 star product, but in a vehicle, the mounting is important.

Fell apart after 6 months
The magnetic piece detached from the base after 6 months of being in my car. I've never removed this from my vehicle so it has basically fallen apart after just months of sitting untouched. Now it is basically useless for my purpose. Definitely should avoid this product at this price.

Difficult to read
Purchased this for my car and overall, it's a nice compact altimeter. The problem is when using the suction window holder, the device falls off its magnetic base frequently. The dial is also difficult to read, especially when using in the car on it's suction base. I find the barometer is a bit awkward to use and read also. If you have excellent bird eyes vision, then this device may be for you. Otherwise, it's difficult to read the display.

The gel pad failed in our summer sun
The mount detached with the gel pad tearing. Was hoping I can get a replacement gel pad or another remedy. The altimeter is extremely accurate and I was very impressed otherwise.

Pre-used product
I can't even review the product because the package was already torn apart, with pieces used and/or missing. This is a pricey item, and it has specific delivery requirements. For the trouble, I am so disappointed.

Easy to install, accurate, fairly easy to read.
Installed directly below the windshield mirror. Quick install. Easy to read but out of the front view. Very nice design. (I wish the Lev-o-gage were as easy to install ...) Nice product.

Now we know the elevation of our house
The altimeter seems very accurate. I calibrated it our local airport. The only downside to me is that the lettering/numbers are too small for me to see while attached to my windshield.
