Japanese Pickle Maker, Tsukemono Maker, BPA Free, Made in Japan

Bought this for my mom to make tsukemono (Japanese salted pickles) and it works great.

I've made Japanese pickles using my new pickle maker! I used napa cabbage, cucumbers and Thai red chilis. The Japanese pickle maker works great!!

This is a larger pickle press, holds at least four to six cups chopped veg. I used a cup each of cucumber and white cabbage and it was barely to the bottom when I pressed the pickles.I made simple shiozuke (salt pickles) in it, tsp of salt on the 2 cups of veg plus some jalapeno and red pepper flakes and a bit of lemon peel. Left it a couple of hours and I had very good, crispy salty pickles. The cabbage was the best one.This is easy to clean, just a big jar of polypropylene or some food grade plastic.

A decent size with hard sides and a screw press. The press keeps the pickle items submerged in the brine.
