Yet another branding from Union Repair (China)
The scope is fine, but I added a 0.5 Barlow lens to get more clearance, and really need a few more inches of column height, to re-center the rack. Hopefully, someone is making and selling an extension "slug" to raise the column post, or I'll have to make one myself. Also, I lost a quarter inch with installing a "camera" UV protective lens cover .. a no-brainer to keep smoke and splatter out of the scope itself. This scope was about $100 less that the more well known brand sold here on Amazon, so shop around and make your best decision. Cheers!

Product OK
Can't say anything about the optics glass, As I repact before getting that on the stand. Bearing slides were much too loose could be replaced but I'm not doing that for a new item. Threads on shafts were somewhat rough not very clean. I opted for a cheaper unit missing the camera attachment as it Was much better made... Without the camera attachment oh well. They've received this unit 3 days ago and I am waiting for a reimbursement. If the bearings had been OK perhaps I would have kept.

Survived poor packing, but works good
This microscope is being used for micro-soldering and inspection and other hand-work needs in my personal lab/workbench. I haven't added a camera yet, but intend to.The microscope is sturdy and the base is quite heavy. The packaging was factory, but not adequate to hold the heavy base and I was treated to a box full of broken styrofoam and a slightly damaged base. I did manage to find all the feet and screws that had gotten torn off and assemble the system. The base has some paint scratches on it from the bad packing. The optical assembly and arms were undamaged. The molded foam is absolutely inadequate for the base and it should be in its own box. Looked for contact information from the company and was not able to figure out who to contact or if there was any options for support. I needed to use it, so I just decided to live with the scratched base and was able to put it into service.Optically, I'm happy with the microscope. It works acceptably. I added an Amscope Barlow lens and 144 LED light ring, which all fit perfectly. The boom stand is stable and movement is adequate but lacks smooth bearings. I'm used to using much more expensive microscopes with smoother stands and operating controls, and better optics but this one is more than good enough to do the job.I would suggest to the company to package the base in its own cardboard box and ship it separately or secure it inside the foam cavity better. The factory packing material is absolutely inadequate for shipping by standard carrier.
