Great milling, no stuck mashes by now
I have used it already for three brew days, using an electric drill for power. It goes through the grain extremely quickly and mills it very thin leaving the husks almost intact. No stuck mashes by now.Setting it up was a little tricky. If you make the spacing too narrow it gets stuck and too wide it just rolls without making any grain go through, but once I had it set it was a blast. Milled 30+ pounds of grain non-stop with someone's help adding the grain to the hopper. I will time it next time for more details and might update the review if I remember.Really happy with it!

Some Minor FYIs.
First off, it'd be nice to get a picture with something to scale the mill with - it's considerably smaller than I imagined (I don't consider this a bad thing, just something to keep in mind). Overall length is about 8" with a little bit more for the drive shaft. It's also really hefty and well-built, stainless steel, and all the mounting hardware was thankfully included. Something to keep in mind - there are NO safety barriers built-in to the mill to keep you from grinding your fingers up. Even handling it out of the box, you could pinch your fingers. First order of business is to mount this thing, build a hopper, and put some mesh/wire over the inlet to keep fingers out.Aside from mounting hardware, nothing is included with the mill. The hopper, base, safety screens, and drive elements must all be provided.

well made
This is a well made mill. The manufacturer says to only use a corded drill, but my big cordless will turn it just fine on the low gear setting. Watch out it will try to twist your arm off... hold with two hands, it has some torque! Crush is good, and my effencencys went up switching to this from the grind at my brew shop.

Is paper that expensive?
I like the construction quality and it seems like it may last a long time. But on the down side, it was shipped with absolutely no literature at all. Not even a purchase order. No instructions, warranty info, assembly diagram, parts list....nothing. So it took a while to google images of the assembled mill and put it together. So needless to say there was no owners manual to tell you how to set it up either. The adjustment knobs are unmarked and just spin around and around. Only after reading some user forums with more complaints about lack of instructions di I learn that the thumb screws on the side are set screws for the adjustment knobs and don't just hold the hopper on. I had a lot of problems getting it set up enough to grind grains this weekend and now I need to buy more grains to do more trial and error adjusting. For a few seconds it seemed to run through the grain like an animal and I love the grind quality. But I need to have it dialed in so it stops binding up and/or not feeding grain. Time will tell.

works great, I mill tons of grain and this thing rocks!!
Firts thing to note is the rollers are 1/5" dia, not 2" and the shaft is 3/8". With that said the only other problem was it took some time to get the gap ajustment. This mill rocks!!!! I also mill my friends grain and it just keeps going and going. I put a 1/3hp motor with 12" vs 1.5" pullys and this is a joy to use. The shaft is 3/8 and it would be nice to have it bigger like 1/2". My mill will out live me and gives a great crush.

Most important tool for home brewer
Most important tool for home brewer, after a mash tun and boil kettle. Adjustment allows a much, much better crush than what you get from on-line suppliers. Also allows easy readjustment for wheat.
