Organi Plugs are the best
Hey there! So, I wanted to share with you my latest hydroponic gardening discovery of these amazing pods! I got them to use with our hydroponic tower and let me tell you, it's been a blast choosing and starting my own seeds with them. Ive tried Root Riot a few times, and had such bad luck I was off to the races to find something new, and oh boy these things blow them out of the water.Usually, we harvest about 2-4 plants every week for our salads, so we start around 12 seeds every 2-3 weeks. When we received the plugs, they were all moist and ready to use. Since we stagger their use over many weeks, we lay the new plugs out on a cookie rack and let them dry out completely before storing them. When it's time to start the seeds, we just rehydrate the needed number of plugs for a few minutes. The best part is that we haven't had any issues with molding or algae growth when working with the dehydrated plugs. They perform just as well as they do when they are new. (We did have some problems with black/brown mold and green algae type things when we tried Root Riot and some of the other cheaper knock offs.)Ive grown plenty of “tomatoes”, peppers, cucumbers, and flowers which were all transferred to outdoor grow facilities with well north of 90% success rate. Couldn’t be more stoked. When they say these things are optimized and aerated for superior lateral root growth, they are not kidding. Roots sprout through these things like crazy. The Root Riot ones seem overly compact, and the roots are thinner and break off super easily. I cant understand fully the internals that causing the difference, but I’m absolutely not going back. Love these things. To sum it up, we wouldn't be this successful if we were using inferior plugs. This is an awesome product and is perfectly suited to our seed-starting needs.

Works great
These work great. I use a poker to poke holes in the cube to help roots come out and not get suffocated. I don't think it's required to do I just do it out of habit from having roots get locked into other products I've used in the past. Organic also. !

Nice medium for multiple applications
I’m impressed by these and they’re quite versatile. I’ve used them in hydroponic setup, in grow trays and also when thinning out my seedings because I can transfer the extras directly to this medium very easily and they transfer to soil without a problem. They are great at maintaining moisture content and while just about anything can/will develop mold, these are very slow on the uptake and it occurs rarely. I appreciate that they’re pH balanced and the roots penetrate the medium very easily even though the plug itself is quite sturdy. I’m on my second pack now and I haven’t found anything about them that I dislike.

Not for the ground!
Clean and easy, great germination. Lots of stem rot. The ones that survived would not let roots grow and spread when planted. I started over 80 plants....1....1 melon plant is thriving in the garden! Waste of my money.

Great results - but did not fit net pot very well needed trimming
First, I tried 4 different starter plugs at the same time. Two brands worked great, two not as good. This brand had consistent results - good / fast results. I believe they have a great ability to retain air, and the right moisture content for seedlings. Based on what I've done previously, I would expect cuttings to be successful as well. My testing was based on hydroponic - deep water. Ebb and flow would probably use seed trays and this would work great. The only complaint I have is they are not designed (size) for small net pots. I had to do some trimming. Else, they would fit very well in larger net pots or seed trays intended for soil.

Happy to got Good quality plug but has no organic certificate
The plugs have very good germination effect ot my plants So I am happy to get this brand name. Meanwhile they are saying omri certificate ingredients so I am thinking this is organic and already in Omri listed but I learned that it has no organic certificate or in Omri listed. This was big disappoint for me.If you are looking for a good plug for your plants, yes this is the right plug but don`t believe they have an organic certificate when you are purchasing.

Not sure for hydroponics
I generally have been using Viagrow Super Plug seed starters for my hydro setup but they were out for some reason the last time I went to purchase so I decided to pick up some of these VPS Organiplugs. Overall they work but interesting that they are more dense so roots seem to take longer to penetrate the material they are made out of. Also, they seem to be more susceptible to growing algae on them in my experience. I’m not sure if that is due to the nutrient that they say is a part of their recipe or not. They definitely work but I’d say that Viagro plugs are better IMHO. I’m going to use both for tomato seed starts later this week so hopefully I will have an update to pass along shortly

I love the OrganiPlug.
I like the texture and size. The plugs provides air and keeps moisture. Easy to plant with and transfer.
